Hi, Found this forum by a search in google. I hope this is the place for me. My wife and I are looking to get into shape, loose weight, and eat healthy. The problem is what I am doing now leaves me hungry as hell and I am only dropping waist sizes. Here is our daily routine thatwe have been on for about 3 weeks:
Morning:
1 Slimfast, 2 capsules of relacore
Lunch:
Some low fat TV dinner, 2 capsule of relacore
Dinner:
Usually some yougurt or fruit snack packs
Here is a little about us
Me:
I am 34 yrs old 6'2" 285lbs (all fat in the midsection and kneck)
quit smoking cigars and weed about a week ago been on the diet for 3 weeks, lost total of 15 lbs.
Just started excercising this week.
Did a weak 20 situps and 10 pushups daily
I have been playing basketball 2 times a week (3 on 3 half court about 2 hours)
I cannot take anything with alot of caffine or ephedria because I have an elergic reaction and I will break out and swell up.
My wife:
41 yrs old 5'7" 200lbs, same as I all the fat in the midsection.
She works as a manager in a resturant and is the only form of excersize is her job (10-13 hrs a day)
I am looking to find a great diet and the right supplements to take to get that nice lean body again.
I catch myself often left hungry and sometimes I splurge and eat things I don't need to be eating (Fast food, chips and snacks)
Any help will be appriciated!!

Thanks for the replies... any other suggestions?
Would really want a diet that is right for us.
We are joining a gym next week for the cardio.
What about supplements? Is relacore good to stick with?
Thanks

Adodson: Check the links I gave you...there is a diet there for cutting..
About supplements: From OldSchool's article on Marketing Strategies for supplements:
[ QUOTE ]
The Supplement Standard
In the Journal of Hyperplasia, we emphasize diet and training as the key sources to lean muscle gains and fat loss. We delve heavily into all the latest scientific breakthroughs in these areas. And for good reason, again and again it has been proven through scientific research diet and training are the key elements to controlling fat and gaining lean muscle.
Supplements should be used only in areas where nutrition is lacking. Note: this is assuming the bodybuilder is putting forth maximal effort in their diet.
For example, the suggested dosage of vitamin A for athletes in regard to effective injury repair assistance is at least 25,000 I.U.’s or 7,500 R.E.’s, which would be approximately 45 mg per day of beta carotene.
Colgan, M. Optimum Sports Nutrition. New York: Advanced Research Press, 1993.
Using these figures the bodybuilder could assess his or her diet and gather an estimate of how much vitamin A they were consuming through foodstuffs alone. If they did not meet their daily requirements, it would then be justified to supplement with vitamin A as an extension of their diet. This is legitimate supplementation logic, and is the type of valid judgment supported by the Journal of Hyperplasia.
We could continue on with the justification of supplementing with essential fatty acids, minerals, glutamine, and so forth; and we have done so extensively in the bi-monthly journal.
The additional rule concerning supplementation is scientific rationalization. In other words, taking a marketer’s word for it is irrational. Bodybuilders should demand to see hard science in light of the claims many companies put forth.
In review the “Golden Rules” of justified supplementation are as follows:
Supplements are used as an addition to diet to fill in the gap where maximal nutritional efforts fall short.
Supplements have hard scientific validity that they will perform adequately to fill in the nutritional gap in the bodybuilder’s diet.
Applying any other logic to supplementation consumption is invalid, thereby making the rationale to take them equally unfounded. Supplements are simply an extension to an otherwise sound bodybuilding diet. Furthermore, they are scientific extensions.

Please use the links that I gave you, do a search, then post questions if the nutrition or exercise forums.
ABC doesn't advertise quick fixes, so you won't see us endorsing products like relacore.

Read, read, read. If you are here for quick fixes, you are wasting your time and ours.
