There is a problem i have since about 10 years. Well it is called "FLU"
after my workout at the gym or my football game , i should wear something on my head and wrapp my self with thick cloths or i will be struck with a week of bad flu.
I've heard that it is related to the heat that is going out from the body. they say 80% of the heat is released from the head.
can anyone explain what is the relation between heat released and flu viruses?
this is my weakest point ...i have a very strong body with solid bones and thanks god i never had any injury although i am too tough in my game.
but flu hits me hard every now and then....
Thanks in advance.

I would be concerned about the possibility of overtraining. Many athletes, lifters fail to realize the detriment overtraining can cause. Somewhere I recall reading an article alleging overtraining can actually lower the body's immune defenses against infections

i don't think it is overtraining my friend. i am sure it is about the heat released and this is what i need to learn more about

I don't have an answer for you, but something like that happens to me. Everytime I start working out after a break of several months (sadly enough it happens too often) I get a flu. That happens even if I start hitting the weights gradually, so overtraining is not a suitable explanation. Interestingly enough, after that I can keep working out with no further complications, so I guess is not related to heat loss in my case, but I'm not sure. Perhaps somebody else can tell what's going on.

Isn't chromium supposed to help the immune system out? Make sure you're supplementing with the right things!

Have you actually had a doctor verify influenza by culture?

I have bad allergies myself, and hot to cold situations can trigger week long attacks similar to the flu. In fact my lowered immune response during an allergy attack can cause me to catch something easily if i'm not carefull.
