Ive noticed that people use different grip positions but never really using them myself is there a difference between the weight you can pick with each position or is it just up to the individual.
1>Feet shoulder width apart with arms directly in-line with the shins.
2>Feet slightly wider than shoulder width with the grip position between the legs.
3>Feet shoulder width apart and grip position next to the shin, on the outside to be exact.

see what you like best. I like a mixed grip for deadlifts and and overhand grip for straight leg deadlifts. Just make sure you are using proper form.

The grips I understand its mostly the hand positioning. With number 2 I found that it targets the hammies an back really nice, brilliant pump.

for my strongest lift, I wll have my feet spaced about shoulder width apart, pretend that you're going to dunk a basktball off of two feet and watch where your feet are. That's a good place to start.

So with my feet spaced in that manner, I simply hang my arms down on the outside of my knees and go at it /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
