Hey im 16 and I started liftin off and on a few years ago and last year i started going hard core and then they locked up the weight room at school and then i wasnt able to lift at all. Now i own a Techrod it is a cheap version of the Bowflex and when i use it the resistance it is supposed to have doesnt seem like it is.

I would recommend getting some free weights and working out at home. Even tho you have the techrod - you should supplement with free weights.
Those machines don't give you the same range of motion that free weights do.

Yup, for sure. Either that or try and scrape enough money together for a gym membership. You will be very limited as to what you can acheive with your current equipment.

i agree Agent_89. free weights are the way to go. when i started working out at 15yrs old, i got free weights. nothing major, but the basics will get you by. welcome to teh site as well!!!!!! ABC is a great place for all your bodybuilding needs. I wish it was around when i was a young lifter. i could have saved alot of mistakes. good to see ya, hope to see you progress and reach your goals. BM
