The past month and a half I've been doing heavier bench with lower reps than usual. A lot of sets of 2-5 reps. These last few weeks my inner elbow has been bothering me quite a bit during the eccentric phase of my bench, and after I finish the set. I talked to my athletic trainer and was told it was probably bicepital tendonitis, but all she told me to do was lift lighter for the next couple weeks.
She's proven to be kind of dumb in the past when it comes to treating an injury, so I wanted to ask any of you if you have any ideas on what else I could do. I was thinking elbow wraps during bench could help possibly. Any suggestions?
