Sorry I haven't introduced myself before now. I am not big on intros, but I figure I owe it to you all if I am going to ask questions.

I'm 29 (I turn 30 in a few weeks). I use to be in really good shape(not a body builder, but could run forever), but about 4 years ago I took a job where it was almost all travel. Eating fast food and not working out will do wonders for your body. Unfortunately it's not the wonders I wanted.

About a six weeks ago I said enough was enough. I was 245 5'9" and I am scared to know the body fat. Since then I have completely revamped my diet. In six weeks I have dropped from 245 to 227. I still have a long way to go. My goal is 200 by August 1st.

The biggest problems I have are
1. Getting a regular workout schedule going. It's not a matter of motivation it's a matter of finding the time. If I could find a local gym that would open at 5A.M. I would be there.

2. My diet. I don't have a problem with eating the right things. It's more of a problem of having something decent to eat when I need to eat.

I plan on starting a workout journal shortly. I have started using fitday and I really like it.

Any advice, tips, general criticism will be greatly appreciated.

Yes,

scheduling can be difficult. How are you working it into your schedule now?

The biggest problem with scheduling is following the schedule. On MWF I can usually make it about 8AM. That's if I don't have a work conflict. Every other day it's just whenever I can fit in about an hour and a half for workout and shower.

It's mostly the emergency fires I have to put out that prevent me from working out. With the kids out of school I can start going earlier now.
