I was benching on an incline today after warming up and everything, after the third set, I had this pain on my right shoulder. I'll try to describe it as best as I can, I think its a rotator cuff injury. Its a sharp pain, and I can't pin point exactly which place it is on my shoulder, but I can't raise my arm up. When I try raising my arm up forward or side, it hurts like hell and it just fails on my and goes straight down. Also, when I try to perform a cuban rotation (with no weights, just my arm), it really hurts and just goes down.
I discontinued working out after that, it just hurt too much. Should I let it rest and train my rotator cuff more often? I've been training it lately.

If it hurts that much I would stop and get it checked out.
Or at least lay off the benching and shoulder exercises for a while. Shoulder pain and/or injury can become easily aggravated. Maby see the Doc before you continue.

Thanks bro.
Its not hurting as much now, but I'll definitely see a doctor before I perform any overhead or bench movements.

I haven't seen a doctor yet (I know, stupid). But I haven't worked out my chest from that day, around 3 weeks. But last week I tried it with moderate weight, after warming up for a good 10 minutes with light weights. As soon as I got to the 6th rep, my right shoulder hurt like hell.
There's no pain when I rest my shoulder, there's actually no significant pain when I'm not doing anything other than benching. I hit shoulders hard the other day, and they were completely fine. But when I bench, especially incline, my right shoulder hurts. And when I flex a most muscular, I feel a slight pain in my right shoulder. The pain I feel is more in the front delt area. What area of the shoulder/rotator cuff is mostly emphasised on bench, and what exercises can I perform to strengthen it?

The Muscles that make up the rotator cuff help support the weight on bench. U really need to see a doctor, I just found out I partially tore mine it hurt a little but i could lift my arm with no problem. So it sounds to me that u have torn yours completely, I may be wrong. But an orthopedic specialist can tell u for sure.
