I read the forum rules and it says you must squat, but unfortunately, I can't squat!!! It's probably meant to be taken lightly, or not? I don't know. But I ruptured 2 discs in my lower back, so I can not squat ever again. I squatted when I was in high school and college, so does that count? I still do leg extensions, and leg curls. Also, to complicate things more, I have tendonitis in both of my knees. Which, makes doing leg extensions kinda hurt

huskerwr38, welcome to the site. I'm also a new member, and I agree with you. I love this site so much. I heard about this site when I was at an NPC bodybuilding show. ABCbodybuilding had a little booth set up outside, and I had never heard of them. The guys there were so nice, and they gave me this little cd rom thing for the computer. Ever since I've been hooked. All the information in this site is straightforward, smart, and very well researched. Anyway, it's a great site. Welcome.

It is not to be taken lightly!!!! IMO, the most important forum rule! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You have a reasonable excuse though!

Welcome to abc, see you on the boards. /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have to admit I am also guilty of not squatting. /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Squats are scary and intimidating. Leg pressing is easier and doesn't demand so much focus.

Well, thanks guys. But when I did squat, I loved it. I loved the burn in my legs and how powerful it made me feel. But, unfortunately, it all had to come to an end. I still do leg curls and extension, but extensions hurt my knees. Oh well, I'm just thankful I can workout.

Thats a legitimate reason!

We are glad to have you with us on abc! How do you compensate currently for your leg workouts?

I do leg extensions, leg curls, and calve exercises. I do lunges, and I'm planning on doing some leg press exercises too.
