you're staying with friends for a week and can't really get in all the calories you need? I brought a lot of whey with me in a zip lock bag but it definitley can't make up for my 3000 calorie a day requirement. I still try to eat every 2-3 hours but it's definitley tough since you don't want to eat all their food. How much will this set me back if I can only get about 1500-2000 calories a day for my cut.

Can't you just drop by the supermarket and buy stuff for you?
Isn't there a supplement store close where you can buy a tub or a bag of whey? Come on man!

I think it will set you back quite a bit, because your metabolism will drop drastically. If your cutting, then stick to your cut and go get your food.

Im guessing you are pretty young, if you have the money just buy food and ask your friend if you can keep it in his
fridge. My main goal would be to still eat at least 5 meals/day even if they are not all that clean.

Buy some oats, and use the protein powder for a oats+whey shake for most meals; 3/5 meals. Its a better option if you're concerned with how much of their food you eat, since all you need from them is water. However, for the last meal, you'd need some CC and fats.
I always pack plenty of oats, whey, a bottle of flax oil pills (usually I use the oil, but the pills are easier when traveling), and I make a huge batch of jerky to take with me. You could also buy some pouches of tuna--if you get the pouches you won't need a can opener and they are not packed in water so you don't have to worry about the mess.
Like the others said, I would definitely do whatever it takes to avoid dropping your calories that far below your normal intake.

Is there an easy way to make jerky without a dehyrdrater?
^^^Yes, you can make it in your oven on a very low temperature. I think I posted a recipe/instructions for oven jerky in the recipe forum a while back if you want to do a search. If you can't find it, just search for "oven jerky" on Google and you'll find something. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Why are you acting like you have to be in the closet? /forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Bring the tubs of protein and oatmeal and go at it like you normally would. Eating correctly and how you want (need) to shouldn't have to be adjusted just 'cause you're away from home. Well, I suppose you can't just freely unload their fridge, but eat what you normally would.
