Is there anything on the site about sweeteners? I usually try to avoid them but I've just tried oats for the first time. They are too bland on their own.
I tried a bit of sweetener and some low-sugar jam (just a bit).
What about sweeteners with maltodextrin in?
Yes they have been discussed before. Splenda (Sucralose) is the safest at the moment. Yet I am unaware of long term studies. Avoid anything with Aspartame.

Wow that was some 'debate'. My cupboard now had Splenda and Cologram which is 3% aspartame and 97% maltodextrin. I think I'm going to use the Splenda but only when I really can't do without.
I am a fan of Mercola but I notice the page with the testamonials against Splenda has been withdrawn after legal pressure.
Now I will shut up on the subject in case I start world war three /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
