Hi, thought I'd drop by here first of all, before going forth and re-acquainting myself with the rest of the forums, which I used to keep track of but heven't looked at for a while.

For starters, are there any other Rugby (Union) players around, especially front rows? I'm mainly a tight-head prop, but I still enjoy going back to Lock and sometimes play the odd game at 6 for an easy ride.

For the general population though, I'm about 6'1" and pushing 270 pounds, not particularly lean but about 20lbs is post-injury spread which I'm about to start shifting, I used to do a lot of training but at the moment can't get to a proper gym so I think a bit of nutrition and cardio work is the first priority.

Anyway, I'm off to the injury forum for some advice on shoulder and back problems - typical prop I know... /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'm a huge rugby fan (check out the sig) and I played rugby for over ten years, in fact this is the first season I've played competitively. I played in the centre mostly but also was used in the back row occasionally.

Newcastle fan huh? I'm a Munster man myself.

Munster have gone downhill since "Uncle Fester" left, although my roots are in Ulster I tend to follow Leinster out of the provinces and Blackrock in Irish Club competition - couple of tours to Dublin as a student. AS for the sig, have you seen Jonah lately, he's huge, even compared to what he used to be, the new kidney seems to have come with hard-wired creatine supply, he's gonna be eating people '95 style again...

I would love to see Jonah back to his best, a true legend. Munster had a disappointing year, while Keith Wood (uncle Fester) was an inspirational fugure, I believe we actually have a better group of forwards than we did back then (what with players like o'connell, o'kelly, horan).

I think its in the backs that we are lacking (no penetration).

Leinster on the other hand have the exact opposite problem. Awesome backs (o'driscoll, d'arcy, contepomi, hickie) but a really lacklustre pack with no heart.

You're from scotland? or england?

Born in Scotland, Raised in Yorkshire, lot of Irish Blood - generally pretty mixed up background /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. I could have added England Cricket and the Green Bay Packers to the team badges but thought I'd put a quick rugby image in for the benefit of the uninitiated.
