Okay I decided to post this here because I cannot find anything anywhere.
About a year and a half ago I was wrestling around and went to lift a friend into a firemans carry position but did not bend my legs adequate and hurt my back. I felt and heard multiple rapid "popping" noises. I thought it was nothing too serious until later the day at the gym I went to start and bent down to lift weights and my back felt like it was being ripped apart. For a period of about a month I had trouble breathing with the pain and generally doing ordinary day to day movements.
Being relatively injury free I went for a massage where I was told that according to them it felt like I had pulled my muscle along 6 or so of my vertebrates. I then hurt my shoulder about a month later and finally after a few months I was told to take 3 months off by my Doctor so I did.
When I went to a different place for a deep tissue massage on my shoulder, he also found my back was abnormally tight in one spot.. When I started back in august of last year i found that my pain still persisted. As the months progressed I'd have no immense pain unless I laid flat down on a bench and moved my hands near my shoulders for like a bench press. The pain was a very sharp pain that would seem to grip my right side of my back along my spine with each breath. It also comes out when I walk for awhile, and lean slightly forward while standing.
Also recently while attempting to go for a set of front squats I heard a familiar popping noise. I set the bar down and since then the pain has come back to levels it hasn't been to since I first suffered the injury. I find the pain comes out most when I have been standing and walking for great lengths of time. it seems to stiffen up greatly to the point where I have trouble bending down at a regular speed.
When I brought this up with my doctor he seemed to brush it off as I had only been there regarding my shoulder. He booked me for a MRI. When I went for the MRI the operator questioned me more about my neck & shoulder. With no mention of my back. Of course when I got my results I found my neck wasn't in good shape, and nothing was pinching the nerve in my shoulder. When questioned about my back my doctor again sort of brushed it off as "nothing came up". So until I can find time to get a professional second opinion I have been trying to research it with no luck.
So if anyone could help me regarding this problem I would greatly appreciate it. The pain is in the upper-middle of the back, on my rightside right beside my spine. I do NOT have any pain my pelvis or numbness in my legs. It feels similar to someone sticking their elbow into my spine on that side, but more sharp.
Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.
