Hello Friends,

I got this funny injury near the base of my left hand bicep (just above the crook of the elbow). I did a solid bout of bicep exercises with barbell curls, followed by a short rest (around 65 seconds) followed by EZ bar curls on the preacher bench.

This was around 4 days ago. It was Bicep and Tricep day. Nothing happened during the workout but the next day i could not straighten both my arms. I was walking around with them bent and if i tried to straighten them, there was a tight "pull" or resistance at the area mentioned above. My right bicep region was also sore but it recovered quickly.

Now for the funny part.

Yesterday was shoulder and chest day. Despite the injury i decided to work out and guess what...!!! During the workout the pain vanished and i coiuld stretch the arm without ANY pain or resistance whatsoever.

Today there is a slight relapse of the pain again.

What gives?

Thanks in advance,
Kaizer.

Sounds like DOMS to me...Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness...and that is not an injury...it's normal...try stretching.

Is it happening again ?

Many times if you do very good workout, you get DOMS.

After you have been working out for a while, the DOMS may get less.

Nope. This is the first time it's occured. BTW, It's been a week now and the "funny injury" is no more! I think it was a serious case of DOMS.

Thanks for your inputs,
Kaizer.

Reminds me of when I first started training. I took a bet that had some rather unfortunate consequences. I told someone I could do 200 incline sit ups in 5 minutes. I pulled it off, but I did not know what was in store for me in the following days. For the next week I had to walk around like Elvis. I couldn't straighten out my body. I was so stiff I couldn't even lay flat on my bed. I had to sleep in the fetal position. That was the worst case of doms I ever experienced. I was ridiculed by my family for weeks, and I still have not lived that one down.

LOL Jaden - dude that sounds so funny.
I can just picture u walking around all hunched over.
I get serious doms after doing legs - I find that streching helps.
