In the left palm of my hand I get a very sharp pain when doing my chest routine with dumbells. I dont know whats wrong, its not injured either. Just when I lift with dumbells for chest i feel this pain in my left hand. Is there anyway i can cure this problem ? Thanks

And you dont feel it when you use a barbell? And you only feel it when you do bench presses, no other exercise?
I'm sure this'll be moved---->

I think I know what you're talking about. When I do dumbbell presses, sometimes the area between my thumb and index finger feel very cramped and fatigued when I approach failiure. Sometimes this even prevents me from reaching utter muscular failure. I'm not sure what, beyond hand positioning and stabilization, can cause this or remedy this /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Are you warming up properly?
The heavy weight is probably pressing down on the nerves or joints in your hand.
You might try wearing gloves for now, but for a long term goal focus on building up more wrist strength through forearm training.
