I've ripped the same callouse on my right right hand, base of my pinky finger twice in a month or so. Not really painful, just that I don't exactly want open wounds while in the gym.
-my right hand palm faces away from me in the over/under hand hook grip when I deadlift
-i use chalk
anybody have a similar problem?

Stop lifting so much it's bad for your back anyways.

There's not much you can do about it bro. I just wrap some athletic tape around my hand, chalk up again, and have at it.

Not all gyms allow for chalk. I say go for the tape anyways. It's what I would do. Play with it so you don't use too much to effect your grip, and you know you're gunna get sweaty. I dont' want to be bad and say to use gloves cuz some people aren't into it, but for those few times you rip open, grabbing a pair out of your bag could help you continue your workout somewhat.
