Hey guys,
I was playing basketball tonight and went up for a block, landing like this: (wrong)
My left foot was turned in and up, so my outside foot landed first. This has never happened to me before. I have sprained both my ankles numerous times so I know how to deal with that, but this time...it is the side of my left foot and the top that is sore and slightly swollen.
I distinctly remember hearing a crunch,NOT a snap (I know this difference means something, but I can't remember which meant what)...which is why I expected my ankle...because that is usually what happens...but this is much worse.
It is very hard for me to see a doctor much less a sports trainer where I am located. I plan on calling my trainer from back in my high school days; he was a good friend and might be able to help.
Besides ice, any suggestions?
Thanks,
Reg
