Most every time I lift biceps, I get extreme soreness towards the elbow joint of both arms. It is not a hurt pain but I have quite a bit of trouble straightening out my arms for a couple of days and the pain can get to where it just throbs along with my heartbeat. If that is how it is suposto be then fine. But in all my other muscles I do not get the same soreness feeling and it is usually throughout the muscle and not just at one end. I am thinking that it might have something to do with my bicep's shape because the muscle is mostly flexes high on my frame. I will lift regardless, just curious to see if anyone else gets this or this is normal until the muscle grows to fill all the empty space around my arm. Thanks.

Sounds like you have golfers/tennis elbow. Usually happens when i over extend my biceps (according to the people i asked, anyway). It hurts really bad to straighten it, right?

Apparantly, you're putting too much strain on your weak elbow tendons. The medical names of tennis elbow are lateral epicondylitis and for golfer's elbow medial epicondylitis. Just forms of tendonitis.

I just continue to lift for another body part (you are alternating, right?) and by the time im warmed up it doesnt affect my workouts. After 2-4 days it goes away. NSAIDs all the way boyee.

Of course, i could be completely wrong. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
