Hey ppl....
I just had a small accident,u know,i just cut my right tit with a knife really deep and had some stiches,nothing out of the ordinary... /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Anyway i was just wondering if the scar tissue is going to restrain or get in the way for further growth of my pecs....

As far as growth is concerned, I don't see how scar tissue would hamper that... The only thing that might my limited is your range of motion due to the lack of elasticity of the scar tissue. I don't see why it wouldn't stretch out over time though...

Unless u lost lymph nodes or tissue it should not effect growth once it closes.

Not necessarily true. I don't see how lymph nodes has anything to do with it. A lymph node is a structure located between tissues and veins. The node itself contains phagocytic cells that engulph and destroy foreign matter circulating in the lymph. They also house lymphocytes. It's just part of the body's lymphatic (immune) system and will not hinder muscle growth in the area at all.

I thought this to be true because a friend of mine had cancerous lymph nodes removed in his chest and after training had difficulty growing muscle in that area. Possibly because they needed to remove tissue when removing the lymph nodes and it was a deep cut. I also had a relative have lymph nodes removed from under their arms and could no longer lift heavy objects.
