I have used ART and had an okay result after one treatment on my right rear shoulder, I went once 5 months ago but now once again I am starting to feel the weirdness in that same area. Its not a RC problem it is on the back area of my shoulder on the right side it feels like it needs to be re aligned or like pushed in it’s a weird feeling to describe not pain just like its not right and if I poke it in some areas it hurts side lateral raises cause popping on the right side also.

I went to my doctor before art he said it was nothing major I have full range of motion and all he did was give me anti-inflammatory meds and told me to more or less take months on end off from the gym. I took one pill of and made me feel so weird and out of it I never took one again I took a month off then finally I said whatever and I then went to ART/had 1 treatment … and boy that made a difference but still it wasn’t 100%...I think it sucks having this…on my right rear area of my shoulder I am thinking ART might be my solution But I would have to go for multiple treatments and then I think I will adhere to http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/adam.php Anyone else with advice on this?

So my overall questions are

What are your guy’s opinions on ART treatments?

What do you guy’s do for rehabilitation of injured areas?

Does any one have good suggestions for my shoulder problem?

And if you have anything else to say please post /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Summary
TYPE of pain: Dullish and sometimes sharp if I poke areas where it hurts. It is like its stiff but its not I have full range, some popping on some exercises and movements

Exact location of the pain: Rear Delt right side is mainly only

What makes it hurt: When I put my right arm behind back and bring left around and up to grab I get weird pain feeling in my delts/ and rear... its weird .. (I love Jesus!) feeling only main sharp pain one I get.

Tricep single handed pull down on cables, I have to lower weight 5 downs because i cant pull it down my shoulder area just feels wrong and I cant bring it down like I can with my left side. It weaker and weird dull pain

When I do cable cross over for delts bringing cable from bottom up and over to side same sort of pain happens like for the tricep single hand pull down.

When I do the pek deck backwards to work my rear delts... it feels weird on the right injured side and i get a feeling like its not in there right when I am doing heavy weight and my last few reps, gets tired/feels miss aingled

When i do complete side laterals... starting at sides it pops on my left side

thats it..?

How i injured: Most likely when I first started off bodybuilding and was stupid....I don’t know exactly what caused this but... whatever did ****... I wish i had read this site before i ever worked out most likely dumbbell press? Shoulder press? Side laterals?? Rows? I don’t know exactly what can injure the rear part of your delt like i have ...

ART is one avenue to try. The thing with these types of alternative therapies is that they work wonders for some and do little for others.

I personally seek physical therapy. This typically believes in inbalances in the body and uses strengthening and stretching to correct body problems.

I would seek a good sports doctor. I can't really emphasize that enough for those who are injured. An MD is just going to give you anti-inflammatories. That's fine for mild sprain/strains. However sports injuries, especially chronic, are not their specialities. Check with your insurance plan and have your doctor refer you to a quality sports doctor.

Probably the rotator cuff. Its tough to tell on the net, where we can't see you, but this is the typical problem for shoulder injuries.

Thanks for the reply old school, my doctor and ART doctor both said it was not RC related. I agree I should seek out a Sport MD, do you know of any sites that list them? I love the ART Site, it lists all the provides in each area and you can email all of them and find out costs and so on before hand. Anyhow, Thanks for the advice hopefully I can have my shoulder back to how it should be.

What's the ABC page on how you should strengthen your RC by the way? And what day would you do that on, your Shoulder day right? Before or after you do all your exercises? I do shoulders/trapz/ab on my shoulder day.
