Has anyone expereinced this at all? It's weird because I only feel it (and hear it) when doing DB, not BB, military press. It's in the left shoulder and happens on the eccentric part of the movment.

It feels like the joint is being stressed by an unnatural move and pops but there's no pain or anything. I am, however, afraid to go super heavy as I don't want to cause any serioud damage.

Any ideas what it could be (before I have it checked out)?

Thanks & regards to all.

It could be a weak rotator cuff. This imbalance in the shoulder musculature may result in the inability to keep the shoulder joint properly in place. I would suggest concentrating on strengthening the rotator cuff. Seeing a sports doctor wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Same here, mine used to pop until I started focusing on stretching my shoulder and loosening it up before working out. Also, this might be weird, when I went up in weight, the popping went away.

If you loosen your shoulder and it still won't go away, you might just want to ask a dr. Have you ever injured that shoulder?

Sorry, Joe. Didn't realize there was an Injury forum. And I couldn't post in the members discussion as I don't have 150 posts yet.
