I picked up the ingredients so that I could make my own ZMA. However, the B6 I picked up is 250mg whereas most recommend 10.5mg. Would this amount be too much and thus weaken or render the effect of the ZMA in any way?

Its hard to find a small dosage of B6. What I do is use a pill cutter and slice the pill into small sections(as many as I can without making the pill into powder)
I don't know if it effects the ZMA with higher doses of b6, hopefully someone else has some info on it.

I have also had a hard time finding anything below 250mg, which will be nearly impossible to cut up since its those small round type pills.
Any other suggestions?

I was just looking through the Vitamin B-Complex (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/vitaminbcomplex.php) article and focused upon the B6 section. I don't know if 250mg would affect the absorption of ZMA in a negative manner, but this is what I saw in the article.

Concerning overdoses, 200 mg a day appears to have no adverse effects. But 500 mg inflicts some neuro toxicity. And 1-6 grams daily has been shown to result in several side effects such as ensory and peripheral neuropathy (dysfunctions in nervous system) including numbness of the feet and hands, unsteady movement, abnormal sensations of the dorsal root ganglia (group of nerves) in the spinal cord, impaired tendon reflexes, and degeneration of sensory fibers.

The point I am trying to make here is that if you already supplement with a Vitamin B-Complex tablet and choose to use the 250mg B6 tablet with your ZMA this is something you might want to be careful about. Maybe you should at least split the pill in half or something.

B6 at about 5mg per pill can be found at drugstore.com (the brand happens to be called "nature made" and it's the b-complex with vitman C capsule.

I'm pretty sure you don't want a b complex with vit c in it. You want straight B6. At least that's my understanding.

Well it gives me a huge energy boost. Don't know the efficacy of it for extreme body builders though.
