Yea, if your idea of a good halftime show involves bad music and a lot of skin, then this one sucked.
I personally liked it a lot. I thought Paul classed it up again and I finally got to hear some good music for a change at halftime.
(Note: Only person I liked last year was AeroSmith)

LOL!
Sorry about the attitude in my earlier post, it came out wrong.
You can't compare a Beatle though to Kenny G. I mean, the Beatles were the band that really got rock and roll as we know it today really going.
All I meant was that I am glad they didn't have Janet showing a nipple or Britney, well, being Britney in this years show.
Also, I thought the stage affects and the fireworks part was pretty cool.
Just difference of opinion I guess. Sorry again about the attitude.

I thought Paul was awesome. This half time show was the best in recent years. It would have been cool if Ringo had joined him. On another note the commercial with the cat was hilarious LOL

I'm not going to nock Paul's performance, but I think that they played it a bit too safe. I mean, it was certainly better than last years, but still...
The last SB Halftime show that I honestly enjoyed, was when ZZ-Top played.
And give me a break, "The Best DARN Pre-game Show" ... give me a break.
This really annoys me as a sports fan. What's the big deal with these half time shows? If I go to the superbowl the only thing I want to watch is the game! I find it funny that a huge number of people go to the superbowl just for hype and the half-time show and know little or nothing about the game. They basically turned a sporting even into a show and that bothers me.
If they ever interrupted my Stanley Cup Playoffs with a stupid show between periods I will cut my nuts off! (hehe, see the nut thread).

Yea, it reminds me of the Rocky 4 movie where they have all of the entertainment stuff happening before the actual fight. It get's excessive sometimes...

Wow, I can't believe you made that bet!!! Someone get a glass of ice ready each year just in case the Stanley Cup decides to go after ratings... /forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm not a big Beatles fan, but I didn't think it was too bad. I thought it was better than years past with too many artist getting to sing for about 20 seconds only to have a "costume malfunction." Although, I could have doen without "Hey Jude."
