i usually bulk very dirt. meaning, i have a sweet tooth and low will power. but, it seems that i can clean bulk consuming the same amount of calories as when i was dirty, and i lose body fat. i was just wondering if a more well read person knows how i could lose fat on 4000+ calories a day? could it be that when theres less insulin spiking i just burn fat??

on 4000+ you ARE lucky! I dont know re your insulin question - but maybe your body is just reacting to a sudden change.. these 'may' not be ongoing results, though not impossible... Do you put on muscle easily, too?

i seem to gain weight fast, im not really sure what fast is though. at the start of my bulk in october i weighed 240, now im @ 265, same BF % as the start of bulk, so i guess thats like 6 lbs a month. i started creatine too, so i think alot of the weight i put on is just water, so maybe like 4 lbs of muscle a month?

Glucagon is the exact opposite of insulin. The latter is a storage hormone, while the former is an un storage hormone. Glucagon steals fatty acids away from your fat stores and instead readies them to be burned as energy. This hormone also stimulates the process which releases fat that has already been stored( most likely during your bulk!). In other words, Glucagon promotes fat burning! ( As a side note, they are both produced in the pancreas )

However, the key to its release is insulin control! Or should I say, insulin suppression, because it is when this hormone is at its lowest in your body that its counter part is at its highest. This subject is much deeper than suppression, though. You see, insulin also has several vital aspects that are key to success in this diet. Which is why we must address this hormone if we are to open the door to Glucagon release, without damaging the positive effects it possesses!

This should answer your question about your insulin and clean bulking.

Then, probably you have a very fast metabolism, and you're able to create a great enough calorie deficit to burn some fat.

I'm not sure i'm right though /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

yeah, its probly just as simple as i have a fast metabolism, and a clean bulk acts like a cut for me. but i was more wondering is it possible for someone to loose fat while gaining muscle, because i seem to be able to do that.

It's definitly possible, but it's a long process. Too long for cutting, too long for gaining lean muscles.
