I've been taking a product called Show Me the Whey from my natural health food store. I've been buying it for a long time now, but I think I want to go in a different dirrection. It makes me feel like crud after I eat it. Could you tell me if it's been good though?

As far as getting new protein, I've been mainly looking at ON whey. Seems alot of people here get it. What makes a protein powder good though? They're so many different ingridents on so many different proteins. It's confusing. Is there an article on here that relates to this or something?
Also, if I did indeed pick up some ON whey, should I get Pro Complex, or the 100% Whey? And has anyone tried the cookies and creme whey or the Rocy Road Pro Complex?

how many grams is in each serving size of your protein?
I heard ON's chocolate mint is real good...I might look into buying some too. I've had the chocolate flavor for a year and a half--gone through two 10lb bags of it tho, so I'm getting a little sick of it

21.5 grams per serving. I edited it in.
I was thinking of possibly getting Chocolate Mint. I'd rather have a flavor like cookies and creme though.

Heh, Cookies and Cream is infamous among the boards as tasting terrible, at least the ON variety. I've never tried it before and believe me, it definitely sounds very appealing but I'd suggest you stay away from it unless you want to suffer through 5 pounds of whey protein /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Chocolate Mint isn't a bad choice. Double Rich Chocolate has a lot more flavor while Chocolate Mint is a duller chocolate taste with a hint of mint thrown in.

I haven't tried cookies and creme, but lemme know how it tastes if you get it.

I think I might take the risk. /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif I'm tired of basic flavors. I need variety! Plus I'm not really a huge mint fan.
BTW, what's up with ON Pro Complex? Is it better than 100% whey or something?
dunno

That protein powder looks good. It uses a 'good' sweetener and the ingredient list is nice and short. A lot of companies add too much extra stuff to their protein powder that really isnt needed.

Ok, let me be blunt...I'm going to the GNC store today after the Vikings game is over. I need to know if I should get ON 100% Whey or ON Complex Pro, which I have no idea about. Help! Now! Please!

Just get the 100% whey. I think the Pro complex also contains egg protein and other stuff.

I Buy the 100% whey for use in the mornings and post workout. I also usually have a protein product similar to your pro complex for use as a PM altenrative when I need something other that cottage cheese before bed. My ProV60 has large amount of cassien protien. Slower digestion. But you deffinitely want 100% whey post workout.

Yeah, for fast absorption.
Would the Pro Complex be good for mornings though? To last me awhile before lunch at school almost 4 hours later?
And while I'm at the store, I'm going to pick up ON's creatine powder. Stop me now or never...

100% ON Choc whey is great for PWO.
If you can afford it ON Pro Complex is great for any other time of the day, has a protein blend, CLA, and BCAA.

Sure pro complex would be good in mornings, but not as good as some actual eggs. I dont think its necessary to get pro complex, stick with 100% whey, you could also bring a shake with you to school for in between breakfast and lunch.

If you can get 'Balance Whey' - I'd recommend it.. Its around 25g protein per serve, tastes good, and A$50 for over 3lbs. Nice!
