Hi guys, i've been browsing around here for a while now, but this is my first post. I stumbled across this site in around May of '04. I was just looking for weight loss information/help on google, and one of the hits was here, and its history from there...

I've been on a weight loss...correction fat loss mission since the end of last april. I've lost like 23 pounds thus far, from just modifing my diet to include no soda (not even diet), and no real fast food, except for the occassional "salad" or subway. I've seemed to have plateaued for the past like 3 months, and I know, if I fix my diet some more, this will change a little. I do not really work out too much other than a rowing machine for 30 minutes every other day, and push ups, pull ups, and minor dumb bell exercises...

however, my question is I've read posts around here regarding an E/C/A stack benefits. E/C/A stands for Ephedra/Caffiene/Asprin correct? Now, I've also read posts talking about the harms of so called diet pills out there, hydroxycut, and xenadrine are some examples. I'm not disputing the harmful effects of them, even the ones out now with out Ephedra, but can some one explain to me why those are bad, but using an E/C/A stack is not? I'm confused, or maybe I'm just missing something? My reasoning for asking is because I'm looking for something to supplement my fat loss, and was hoping this would provide me with a "safe" answer..

i apologize for such a long post...and i was going to put this in the members discussion, but apparently i'm not allowed to post there? this is the only other place i could figure it would go...THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP YOU GUYS CAN GIVE...

~~ANDREW

Sorry, this topic has been covered quite recently actually.

ECA stack is bad. Period. Some of the older articles discussed benefits before all of the bad side effects were known. The articles have since been modified as we know now how bad ephedra is for you.
