by Dates, I mean the kind of date that you eat. (Gosh, if I went out on a date after everyworkout I'd die and go to heavan.)

I've looked up their glycemic index on www.glycemicindex.com (http://www.glycemicindex.com) and the value is 102, and the glycemic load is in the middle range, 16 if I recall correctly. I haven't bothered tgt the healthfood store just out of town yet (the one in town charges absurd prices) and can get dates fairly cheap. With a GI of 102, they absorb faster than glycogen (100, the base value) into the bloodstream. So I feel they're a decent substitute, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

He probably doesn't know the effect, so why do you ask instead of explaining

Raging Dragon, it's bad post-workout. Stick only with maltodextrin and dextrose as a carb source.

If you haven't already, read The Window of Opportunity (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/windowofopportunity.php) article. It's about the post-workout nutrition.

question on fructose going to liver glycogen rather than skeletal muscle. if liver glycogen is already full, does the excess become stored as fat? also, other sugar sources that do replenish skeletal muscle stores, after these stores are full, does liver glycogen get replenished or does this too get stored as fat?
