I like to call it expanding my horizon. I like knowing what else is out there. For instance, it might have a workout routine I could give a shot.
Of course I would still follow this site though.
The guys workout is mostly machines, he doesn't deadlift, he using Nitro-tech and Meso-tech products and his diet is weak (shown below). This is all I have to know not to take any advice from him. Besides, nothing beats ABC and it is free.
His diet contains no fats, good or bad and his post-workout shake is laughable. Meso-tech and nitro tech products? /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Just looking at the diet quickly it looks really low on cals as well.
Meal 1: MESO-Tech meal replacement drink, OR 6 egg-white scramble on whole wheat toast.
Meal 2: Can of water-packed tuna with baked potato.
Meal 3: NITRO-Tech high protein-low carb bar.
Meal 4: Post-workout protein shake (NITRO-Tech) and CELL-Tech creatine.
Meal 5: 2 skinless grilled chicken breasts, rice and a vegetable.
Meal 6: NITRO-Tech RTD protein drink.

Speaking of Cell/Nitro-Tech, I just received the two products for free. Would it be bad to use them for the time being? They don't appear to be bad. But hey, I really know nothing about specifics.

sell them

Umm...yeah...gonna need more info than that before I sell.
Are they samples, or actual jugs of the product?

i wouldnt sell them if they were free and who would buy them im just guessing they are samples. depending on what sup they are i would just use them.
If they're just samples then take them. If they are containers of the product, then I would sell them. Dude, just listen to Lee Priest, he knows they're crap:
"I used Cell Tech once and i got the same pump when i ate a bowl of fruit loops and a kit kat. Go figure."

Not directly to you Jedi but I don't understand this concept. Would you take anything that is free? If they sent you a sample of tribulus or andro would you take it just because you didn't pay for it?
Granted cell-tech and meso-tech won't kill you, they are just not very good products, however it seems there are many people that are willing to ingest anything in hopes they will grow without knowing what it does or how it works.

excactly, i would rather work hard, eat right, rest and train for my muslces, and not just injest some "goop" to grow a little faster, even if they gave me a year supply of it, i wouldn't use it

Be weary of any diet that endorses a particular brand name. Like Body-for-Life with EAS products. The diet and workout program isn't bad for beginners, but it seems like a big sales pitch for the Myoplex products and other EAS products.

Buy the book, read it, then find out why it's crap and come back here. There's no substitute to the knowledge on this website. I was just in the nutrition forum and someone asked a question re muscle fullness in the afternoon as opposed to the morning. The almost-instantaneous answer that came back from Joe Yu King blew my mind. It is really impressive to have people with such depth of knowledge administering this site. You will not find it anywhere else.

I was referring to the book pushing a line of products. I have read the Body-for-Life as well as Eating-for-Life. Both are basically sales pitches for all EAS products. So, as you put it, I have read the book, found out why it's crap, and I'm back. I suggest when you read these type of books use a little discernment.

Coz just wondering why you say muscletech products are crap. They may be overpriced but crap i doubt that.

I actually refrained from using the word crap this time and said that they are not very good products.
Yu said it best when referring to Phosphagen HP but this also applies to Cell Tech;
"1. The ammount of dextrose is not compatible with the post workout shake
2. You cannot use it for the loading phase
3. It is not optimal for the maintinance phase
4. It will cause insulin resistance
It's a horrible product. "
Nitro Tech is from memory overpriced whey but Meso Tech I think is a meal replacement with added creatine, if I remember correctly. This is useless and overpriced.

COZ is 100% correct. If i got nitrotech and celltech for free, i would use the nitrotech, and either throw away the cell-tech or give it away. It is "crap"!

JTiger, I totally agree with first reply re: books pushing certain products.
Just to clarify, my reply was meant for swedish_captain who posted the comment initially and was considering buying the book.

Nitro-Tech's in sample form, Cell-Tech's a mega jumbo sized jug. So let's assume I use this product for my post workout shake for a few months. What's the best and worst case scenario?
Also, before I started taking Cell-Tech post workout, I'd make my shakes with gatorade powder (50 grams worth of carbs), Maltodextrin (50 grams worth of carbs), and 38-50 grams worth of whey protein powder. Was I making them correctly? Because I didn''t notice any benefits of using it instead of eating a solid high carb meal after a workout, and I was making them for a few months.

My bad. I thought I read on this board that gatorade powder's a good substitue. Hard going in stores and asking, "Say, have any dextrose on hand?"
How about muscle tech products such as pump tech, energy tech, and the RTD protein shakes. I got those free too, and the RTD tech was pretty handy on the road for my basketball game.
And I'll try selling that cell tech.

Well is it hard to ask us, "hey, where can i get some dextrose?" Yes gatorade can be used as a substitute but usually people who are advised to have gatorade are waiting for their dextrose to come in the mail or something. No where did you imply that you had ordered some dextrose or had been trying to get some. So thats why i was saying NO to gatorade, because you should be having dextrose. Its soo much cheaper, and much better. So no more complaining.
