If anyone is familar with the "Abs Diet" from Men's Health, that is what my diet entails. 6 small meals a day, Lots of Lean Protein, Low Saturated fats, high in omega-3 fats, low GI carbs, etc. I was doing the workout for a while, full body circuits, but it's time for me to shock the system. I'm keeping the diet the same, but I'm starting the "13 Weeks to Hardcore Fat Burning" to cut up. How much rest time between each superset? Say I do a superset of chest and back, how long before I bump up the weight and do it again? I'm also curious if the suppliments I'm taking are correct for cutting and in the right dosage.
Right after I get up I take 1 serving of each of the follwing: Glutamine (600 mg/serv)
Carnitine (500 mg/serv)
BCAA 1800 (Leucine 900 mg/serving, Isoleucine 630 mg/serv, Valine 270 mg/serv)
Creatine (5 g with 24 oz of water)
Multi Vitamin
Fish Oil Capsule (1 g/serv)
Whey
I'm too the point now wher I don't want to get any bigger, mainly decrease body fat (currently I'm 25 yr, 6'0", 202.5 lb with 7.1% body fat)
Any advice/suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

7% body fat is pretty good man, are you sure you want to cut? Most people bulk up to 20% or so, sometimes more. Supersets are when you work the same muscle with no rest like, tricep pull downs to skull crushers, you don't switch to a different muscle. I was confused if you knew this or not so i thought I'd clear it up. I rest for about a minute in between sets. Your sets shouldnt be more than a minute long so if you do a back superset, go straight to your chest superset and then back and take a rest after a completion of both (chest superset, back superset, rest, wait about 2 minutes or so, start again. Play around with it.

I was a bit confused by this: http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/13weekfatburningworkout.php
I.E. In Workout One under Chest, Back, Shoulders, Traps, it says to superset the Decline BB Bench with Medium Wide-Grip Pulldowns, superset Incline Bench Press with Close-Grip Pulldwons, etc. Am I reading this incorrectly. I always thought that a superset is working the same muscle group with two or more different exercises with no rest between the two, where this states to superset chest and back together. I followed this workout on Monday (Chest, Back, Shoulders, Traps) and Tuesday (Biceps, Triceps, Forearms), and so far I'm liking it. TIA

Well technically it is what you think it is. It's just saying that so you know that there is no rest in between.

OK thanks! That's what I suspected. What about the suppliments? I've been taking a handful of amino acids with my creatine every morining after waking, and all I take in th evening is another Glutamine cap and Whey shake after working out. I'm sure this has been asked to death, but should creatine be used while cutting? I've read contridicting posts. Also, what percentage of Fat/Carb/Protein works best? I've been around 30% protein, 50% carbs and 20% fat.

use glutamine powder...you can use creatine while cutting, make sure you take in enough water though

Just out of curiosity.....at 7% body fat, why are you still interested in cutting?

Don't cut at 7% unless going to competition, there's not really a point unless you just want to look like you're going to a competition. Supplements look okay, but take glutamine powder as it is cheaper. Supplements look sound otherwise. Yes you can take creatine on a cut, it just stores water. After a while, just stop taking it for a couple of weeks if you don't want the water.

7.1% body fat? Are you sure that's right? Thats **** near competition lean bro, you would have a perfect 6-pack with that. To get competition lean, you would probably have to be 5% or under, which would only be a loss of 4 more lbs of fat at 202. I'd kill to be 7% just once, lol.
But to answer your question, i like the look of your supplements. Creatine would be good, I think you should switch to glutamine powder over the caps, more convenient and better dollar value. But it sounds like you are on the right track.

I've had my body comped by the same trainer at the same time (every month or so). So if it's not as accurate as a tank, then I at least I know the progresses I have been making over the past year.
2/23/04-241 lbs @ 21.4% BF
3/24/04-230.5 lbs @ 17.5% BF
5/2/04-218 lbs @ 13.6% BF
6/10/04-209 lbs @ 9.2% BF
7/19/04-202.5 lbs @ 9.4% BF
8/27/04-203.5 lbs @ 7.9% BF
10/5/04-202 lbs @ 7.2% BF
11/13/04-201 lbs @ 7.0% BF
1/6/05-202.5 lbs @ 7.1% BF

put up pictures, some trainers can't do skin-folds..and trainers have a habit of only using 3 or 4 folds.

there is allot of great info on this site. You just need to search for it. Creatine on a cut is fine. Its been along time since I've been at 7% body fat. What is your final goal? and lets see some pics...
