I wondered if this is a good idea.
I do abs upside down now because we already had the inverter and it seemed like a good way to add intensity to my ab workout.

Now I'm holding a weight, keeping balence and trying to get full contraction. I like it but I don't know if it might be harmful to my back.

That looks scary /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Why not just do the regular weight assisted crunches?

well, it seems with weight you might seperate a rib or a vertabrae or something, but at least you'll get a little taller, shorty /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

looks like it may be working your hip flexors more than your abs, at least thats what it feels like for me when I do decline situps

Thats beause you are doin sit-ups not crunches. The abs are used for trunk flexion, hip flexors for hip flexion.
