Is there any nutritional difference between out flour and oatmeal? Or is Oat flour just ground up oatmeal? Im asking this because i blend my oatmeal in the morning for my breakfast shake (as im sure many of you do) and i wondering if i could use oat flour to skip the blending process. /forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You need to look really closely at the ingredients as it would most likely contain preservatives. That and look for "whole oat"

Whole Oat
It means that the grain contains all three parts of the grain: germ, endosperm and bran. The whole grain provides maximum health benefit.

A compromise would be to get one of those choppers and chop up your oats into a powder type form yourself. I do this when making my egg white and oat pancakes to make things smoother. Chopping up a bunch at a time and keeping it in an air-tight plastic baggy might be worth your while as well.

get the coffee grinder. it literally makes my oatmeal turn into a flour powder. good investment and only cost like 10-20$.
