I was wondering if anyone else expierenced this, after working out for awhile you no longer get DOMS. I have been pushing myself harder in the gym, lifting more weight and such. But next day or day after that, nothing.

I miss my DOMS /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif

i feel a lot less DOMS than when i started since my body is starting to adapt to certain exercises but still get them from time to time (mostly after trying something new). So my advice would be to switch things up a bit and see what happens...oh and i have never had DOMS in the medial delt head and it has had a lot of growth over the months so DOMS don't mean you aren't growing.

Switch it up:
*change your split
*change your workouts
*introduce more shocking meathods, or shock workouts you didn't before. (static holds, strips, rest pause's, partial reps, doubles, emphasizing the negative, assisted negatives, Zane Blitz, riot bombing, etc....)

Keep it Hardcore, GOODLUCK BRO!!! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

so is DOMS a good indicator that you worked the muscles throughly?

Yes, or it can be an indicator that your diet sucks!
So if your diet is good, and you still get doms, then you had a great workout!!

I think so. If you have DOMS, you know you haven't gone to light on them. Try some of the shocks on this site. If you give it 100%, you will experience the joy that is DOMS.

I thought the same once ago... I thought that my biceps were immune to DOMS. I went every set to failure, doing 8-10 sets, and never felt any DOMS.

Then I tried a barbell curl/preacher curl/30 secs static contraction superset, and boy, that's the worst DOMS I felt! It was in my whole arm.

Check out the shocking methods on the "Workouts" tab above, they're awesome.

Also, don't worry about not having DOMS, I never have DOMS on my shoulders and they're the body part that grows easier for me, along with legs (I feel DOMS in them, though)

Good luck! /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Shock the muscle, and work it out harder than ever before, if this means doing 100reps do it!! If the muscles is not use to something it will force to grow, and you should feel this the next day, for sure!!

[In Arnold voice] Its because you work out like a girly man arrrrggghhhh!!!! [/In Arnold voice]

Just give yourself some shockers, like try a 100 rep'er on 1 legged squats for each leg, then fasica stretching, that should make anyone sore.
