I'm trying to pick a training split for my bulk, but was wondering about giving my arms their own day. My concern is that when I work my chest and back I'll end up working my arms anyway and that could lead to overtraining them. Should I just keep triceps with chest and biceps with back?

i actually have a day set for arms alone. ive been switching up my exercise split reoutine from week to week now, trying to find a solid split. i used to do chest/tris back/bis then i would also give arms its own day. but now i just do chest on its own day and back on its own day as well. then on friday i would hit arms hard. try it out, i feel more rested up by arms day and i get good pumps in the gym. also--by the end of my chest workout, MY TRIS ARE DEAD..they cannot lift for !@#$%^&*. the same with my bis on a HEAVY back day--they cannot lift for !@#$%^&*--they are FRIED. this is how you have to train dude. if you can still lift tris REALLY hard at the end of a chest lift..then theres a problem..think about this and get bak to me..pz

Maybe this will help, heres my split:

NEW SPLIT

Mon *Back-abs-calves
Tues *arms (bis, tris, forearms) weds *Rest-abs
Thurs *legs
Fri *Chest-abs
Sat *shoulders/traps
Sun *Rest

For me, thats enough rest between arms and chest.
