ok, im 20, working out for about 4-5 years now, started out at about 160, im 225 right now, i work out about 5-6 days a week, i have recently noticed that my neck is getting extremely wide, and also i think im getting man boobs. seriously. /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif I actually cut down on chest, from like once a week, to once every 2 or 3 weeks, and i would say my split is pretty good. What can i do to really either decrease both, or stop them from getting worse? would an increase in cardio work? I havent been running alot, but ive been picking it up the last 2 weeks. Anyone with ideas, thanks.

If you're worrying about man boobs, or gynecomastia as it is more properly referred to, then you need to cut down on body fat, meaning diet and cardio.
Manboobs or gynecomastia (gyno) is fat deposits on the chest and can be caused by many many things. Everything from obesity to hormonal problems.
Training your chest less frequently is not a good idea and will do nothing to prevent or reduce your gyno.
Cardio is ok but in conjunction with weight training. Do you have to cut? What is your bf percentage? If your bodyfat is high then start a cut! Read the cutting diets and training programs in the tabs.

Manboobs are fat deposits. Gynecomastia is actual breast tissue growth.

yes, but what does this have to do with anything? Creatine does not effect Test or Estrogen levels, it will not cause man boobs or gyno. If anything it will give the pecs a more fuller look.
I think everyone is right in that it is time to cut. Shedding the extra body fat will get rid of those. I also dont see why you cut down on chest work, i might reccomend trying 8 weeks to bigger pecs (http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/magazine/8weekstobiggerpecs2.htm) to even bring the area up. Definately keep us updated on what you choose to do.

Creatine does not add spotted weight, like water deposits in certain areas. If he was on creatine it would give it a fuller look all around, not just one area.

I thought the water weight was only distributed in the muscles rather than fat, but I could be wrong though.

a-folov is right. Gynocomastia is _not_ adipose tissue (fat). It is the growth of the breast gland. This can be caused by a number of different factors, but usually estradiol (E2). Do you feel a hard lump under your nipples? If you are concerned, then head to the physician's office and get some labwork done. Labwork should at least include: -Estradiol (specify 'sensitive' for this lab test so that they don't just run the rapid fertility test for women) -Prolactin

[/ QUOTE ] Creatine won't make your fat fuller. Creatine Phosphate bonds with Hydrogen Ions to be stored in the muscles, for the re use of ADP back into ATP. It does not bond with hydrogen ions to be stored in anything but the muscles. So it would not make your fat look fatter.

Thanks for the posts, Umm.. I think cardio's doing the trick, i just dont like it!! haha. I didnt mean to make a battle on the effects of creatine, i just figured id post some backround info. I didnt think creatine would be at fault, i kinda knew it was the lack of cardio, i just figured id see what other people thought. thanks again.
