Well just got back from holiday a few days ago. Now I gotta do some serious work to get my diet working properly again.
Now, my problem is that most of the dieting plans I've looked at contain stuff like whey protein or protein shakes and that kinda stuff. For the time being I don't have access to any of that so I've got a bit of a problem.
What can I replace whey protein and protein shakes with?
I'm going to try to follow the 13 weeks diet plan as much as possible but some of the stuff on it I can't get or don't like etc..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although when it comes to your post workout shake you dont want food, you want things which will speed up your digestion and are fast metabolising-whey, malto, and dex with just a tad of salt.

Now this is just something your going to have to overcome. If you have goals, and you want to reach them, then some healthy food that doesn't taste amazing shouldn't stop you.

Thanks, keep forgetting about that shopping list. I was mostly thinking in terms of post workout meal.
Well it's not that I can't get it. It's that I live with my parents and dont have too much control over the shopping list so...
Most things I'll eat even if I don't like, just tuna is really starting to get to me...

Uh oh...tuna, well tuna can be a good replacement for post workout. You can also try egg whites. See the protein you want for post workout should consist of a fast metabolising whey. It should have low to zero fats (this is important!). Fat requires a completely different process to get digested so it will slow digestion, and we want FAST DIGESTION. Sugars should be specific-malto, dex, NO FRUCTOSE.
Your biggest problem however is your parents. Because thats either a go or no. You need to start talking to them, showing them some of your passion for this sport(YOU BETTER HAVE SOME!! /forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif). Start reading more into the science(the articles), so you can better talk to them and persuade them in case they make statements like: Is creatine safe? too much protein is bad for the kidneys, why are you drinking so much water, you shouldn't be eating so much, your going to get fat......
Come on man!! Its obvious your at the beginner stage, so what you need to do is:
*GET PUMPED UP!
*FEEL GOOD ABOUT WHAT YOUR ABOUT TO ACCOMPLISH!
*START READING AND GAINING MORE KNOWLEDGE!
*AND FINALY, CRACK THE PARENTS!
WOOOHOOO....GO GET UM! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I do eat egg whites by not too often, take a while to cook, gonna start eating them more often.
No fructose you say? I remember reading in an article that after your workout you want fast burning carbs. Something like a few bananas, sugary drink and somthing that contains protein..
Well so far I've been working out for about 9 months now, but have missed quite a lot due to exams and sicksness and he gym being redone. Also been tryng to get my diet in order. I do have passion for it, and my parents have been supportive but for me to be able to follow one of these diet plans properly will cost quite a bit more than usual. I've had protein and why supplements before and creatine as well as flax seed oil.
Getting pumped is good /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I've got a lot of reading to do, here, and also my friend just leant me his book untitled "The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Which is huge and has a lot of info. Gonna take me ages to read.
My parents are the type that eat basically anything, if its a few weeks past expiration date no prob... and they love our deep frier. At least I've started not eating anythng friend, make my own grilled chicken /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would read that book mainly for the pictures and visual motivation. Arnold has a lot of fallacies in his diet. If your going to take the time to read, then read the articles here.

Ok but how do you make your eggs? I boil them and that takes a good 20mins if not more...
I have read quite a few articles here already but definitely need to read a lot more. The pics. in the book have been good motivation so far. But I've skimmed it and from what I've read so far there seems to be a lot of good info in it. I will off course check here with you guys if I'm uncertain about something or gonna try something new.

Scramble eggs.
Beat them with a fork or whisk.
Add 1 tbls of water per egg
put them in a pan on medium to medium low heat
Once eggs start to cook on bottom fold them in
Pull off the pan when before they are overdone
nothing worse than overdone eggs
while cooking add diced green onions, red bell peppers, hot sauce, salsa, fat-free cheese, pepper or anything within reaosn for flavor and enjoy. Takes 5 minutes. I think we can all find 5 minutes or go home.
