What is a T-bar, and how do you do deadlifts with it?

You just need something so you can straddle one end of a regular olympic bar and lift it up. You can wrap chain around the bar and use a cable machine handle (like for lat pulldowns) or a seated row handle; they will all give you a different upper back hit.

I've never heard of a T-Bar deadlift, but if you are referring to the rows use a cambered bar, the seated cable row attachment the one that's sorta shaped like a V and follow the directions on the site.

I see T-bar rows in that article, not T-bar deadlifts.
In any case, when doing T-bar rows, you can do it with different handle attachments as JP suggested or you can just pull the weight with your hands directly, wrapping your fingers around the end of the bar before the weights. Either way you do it, you can be sure to experience an amazing stretch and burn on this exercise, especially after several sets of deadlifts and lat-pulldowns/chins!

T-bar deadlifts are trap bar deadlifts also know as Hex Bar.

They help you work on your from and allow you lift more weight!

Hey RaiseDaBar88,
Let's see if I can add to your confusion. First there a at least two types of T-Bar at my gym. One is the "supported" type. It's great for rowing, but you can't deadlift with it. Here's a picture of a version of this type. Supported T-Bar (http://www.militaryfitness.com/peii27-megatuff-incline-lever-row-mtf0024.html)
Here's a picture of the other type: Nonsupported T-Bar (http://www.militaryfitness.com/peii28-megatuff-t-bar-row-mtf0025.html) . You can execute a variation of both the deadlift and stiff-leg deadlift on this one. In either version, keep your arms extended. Bending the arms results in a row instead. For a deadlift, assume a starting position just like you would with the barbell version and come to the upright position. The stiff-leg variant should be pretty much self-explanatory. These versions are OK for a change of pace, but the "real" things should be your mainstay. Good luck.
