hey guys, my exams are coming up and i was wondering if there was any reason for not doing my workouts (except for time loss, cuz thats not that much of a problem). I mean will i feel to tired to think properly under the stress of a time exam if i spent the night before doing a workout?

everyone is different, I would say try it once and then you make the decision on wheather or not you can handle both of them. Good luck with whatever happens. If it turns out you can't train during exams, well then hopefully that will pump you up to get back and crank up the intensity!
I think workouts will provide a much needed relief from the stress of exams.

I agree, the endorphin release caused by training is an awesome feeling and really helps me regain focus during long study hours.
same here, it's a welcome break from the intense study sessions. on days were i've studied all day with no workout i find it seriously hard to sleep also.
My own preference is not to gym during exam period unless im feeling like I need to release some energy,.
I prefer not to because I like concentrating completly on the topic at hand keeping my mind where it should be, if im at the gym ill be thinking of weights which is fair enough but after gym im thinking 'i need protein, some post workout carbs' 'ow its abotu an hour i should eat now' and it keeps going liek that because i get into the workouts and lifestyle.
Plus as CoL mentioned he finds it hard to sleep, well so do i, so i usaully change my habbits so I sleep during about 3pm to midnight, then wake up and study for awhile, then jus befor exam i watch a movie or something to relax my mind completly, then go strait into exam, this way im not tired at all and although ive been awake a long time its okay because the lack of workout has given me that energy i needed to stay awake and study the night.
Also on my way to exam I like listenin to some 2Pac, im not usualy a rap fan, but the rhthm gets me ready. then i take an energy drink right before an exam and leave half of it and drink the other half during midway in exam, then finnish exam, eat then go sleep.
thats my established working method, i see so many guys turn up to an 830am exam who look liek they jsut woke up and say 'man i was studying all night i only got 2hours sleep' well they shuda just slept int he day knowing theyd wana study at night. right? haha

thats what got me through my hsc (senior yr 12 exams).. i just pumped hard at the gym.. and it was a mad stress release for me.. my mind was clearer and i got through my exams quicker.
id bout 3 hrs before my exams and walk into the exam room all sweaty and stuff..
it was kool
haha, my sex drive usually increases after gym, i wudnt be able to concentrate on exam if i gym'd 3hours before.
As long as it works for u.

I agree... I found that during my exams I did better and studied better after working out. If you skip a workout to study not only will you feel more stress but the fact that you missed a workout will drive you crazy and make you lose focus of your exams! Good luck!
