i dont have the opportunity to do dips on a machine, because i work out at home and i just have barbells + dumbells + hammercurl bar + an EZ bar. With that said, is there any substitution excersizes? (since dips are known to be one of the best excersizes for tri growth).

You could do dips with chairs. I do that at home because I don't have hardly anything either... a set of dumbells with 30lbs of weight, lol.

Do what you gotta do. Dips are great.

just put some weight in the chairs so you don't tip the chair over mid-dip...that would be bad

I use a bed and a chair of relatively the same height. :P

try to superset skull crushers with tricep chair dips. you want big tris? Try these for a few weeks. Do about 8-10 reps on your first set of skullcrushers, then immedietely go to a set of chairs and work to failure, I'm talking till your arms go numb and can't push anymore. On the next set you might want to use the same weight. On the third see if you've got balls and raise the weight. Go for a rep range of 6-8. If your a real man go for four sets raising the weight even more, going for 4-7 reps, but after youve done those, strip the weight to a poundage that you can handle for another 6 reps. When your done with these, head over to the chairs. WORK TO FAILURE. When you've finished these four sets your tris will be so full of blood you'll think they will explode. If they don't feel blown up, you're not working hard enough..

Ha, one of the chairs I use has wheels on the bottom, and it swivels (computer chair..). Makes it pretty difficult to keep balanced.
