of lean mass, or total weight? I'm in the middle of a "cut" (read, I'm tired of my gut!) and I'm still fairly adipose rich at 25% body fat. Should I be basing my protein/carb/fat calculations on lean mass, or on total body weight?
I'm at 275, so that a _ton_ of food, even on a cutting diet if I use total mass as a staring point. Currently, I'm averaging around 225-300 g/day protein, a bit less than that in carbs, and trying to keep fat as low as possible. This is a pretty reasonable diet for me, at least one I can continue to eat and not go crazy. I've read many of the articles on the site, and some of the food amounts reccommended are staggering.
So. back to the original question, should I use 275 (total mass) or 205 (lean mass) as a starting point?
