I am still bulking for a couple more months and I want to make my bulk as clean as possible. I cut out foods that are full of preservatives or are processed. Heres what I eat now, I'm just worried I might be missing a few things

Carbs:
Oats
Yams

Protien:
Whey
Chicken
Tuna
Egg whites

fats:
Natural Peanut Butter
Flax

vegetables:
any kind of veggie (mostly GLV)

fruits:
none

Spices:
pepper

Other:
Green tea, A-Z multi-vitamin pill, dextrose, maltodextrin and sodium (PWO)

Let me know if I need to add anything, I've been eating this way for a week now and feel great.

The components are fine but quantity and meal timing are also important.

Thats a good diet like stated above. Thats pretty much all my diet consist of too. Sure makes that PWO shake seem like a darn good treat to me.

That's a pretty good base, but you should vary your foods too.

Diet's aren't too strict unless they are prevetnign you from getting adequate nutrients.

Oh, btw it looks like a nice, clean and solid diet, just make sure you organize it well with the proper amounts of everything and make sure you don't mix too many things together like having a carbs/fat meal, but that shouldn't be too much problem.

I'm doing carb/calorie cycling each week to trick my body into thinking it's not dieting. Also I've set a cheat day once a month to keep my metabolism up.
Anyone know any cheat foods I could eat that wont spike insulin?

I do like sweet potatoes, I just heard that yams are healthier
I might add beans, but the only beans I've seen in stores are canned beans full of preservatives.

Thanks for all the replies, you guys rock

looks some what boring..but thats just me. i would add in some cottage cheese, fat free cheese slices to make the eggs taste a bit better in the morning, fish oil, almonds, walnuts, brown rice, buy some beans that you have to soak over night and then cook them, pinto maybe(they taste great over the rice and are high in fiber), what about lean beef? i guess if you can stand eating those foods over and over again i say go for it...but i know id need some variet thats for sure.

that's almost exactly what my entire diet consists of. I don't think you need to add anything except maybe fruit, for the vitamins.

No such thing as too strict, as long as you are eating everything you need, just make sure you eat a multi-vitamin/mineral. If your bulking I would add some almonds in there, really good tasting and calorie dense. Since its a bulk I would say you could add some fruit in the morning for a meal, like grapefruit or something. A good cheat meal would be a nice thick fatty t-bone steak grilled to perfection, maybe some bacon too mmmmmmm.
