First, before I ask my question. I want to say hello to everyone here. I have been comming to this site for a long time now and just recently decided to sign up. I am glad I did ... looks like there is a lot more to learn here and it really looks like that the people who run this site really care about what they do here!
Anyhow my problem is that I have been lookin for a GOOD anti-estogen to try to possibly resolve a low testosterone problem that I have been seeming to be dealing with for the last 8-9 months or so. I have been lookin at ergo-pharms 6-OXO and Gaspari`s Novedex Xtreme (if there is better lemme know), I also have thought about using somethin like HCG I believe it is. I dont THINK I`m really lookin for anything that will increase test. greatly, for fear of making my current problem worse (although except for the HCG). I havent used prohormones or steroids but rather around the time I noticed the problems started I was using Tribulus(which I didnt use very consistantly) and No2 ( nitrix by bsn at the recommended dosage for bout 3-6 weeks). well anyhow I noticed that my sex drive on nitrix increased in about the first week or two but after that was almost non existent /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif (I also used to get these weird SURGES before I worked out. It was like I was just ultra pumped up/motivated to work out and felt real stong), and NOW I am reading that NO2 products affect gonadotropin hormones, which is why I think that this has put me on an off balance in my HPTA. Also my sex drive USED to be real strong had to be about once or twice every day! and then it dropped FAST to about 2 or 3 a month or so about right after I stopped with the nitrix(which is a reason for me believing that this has somethin to do with where I am at now). If it was due to age (I turned 23 in June) I wouldnt think that the drop would be so fast. I also used to get these weird surges before I worked out it was like I was just ultra pumped up/motivated to work out and felt real stong when I was on both sups(mainly nitrix). Also I got a blood test done (well after I stopped with trib and No2, about 3 months) and here is the results: LH 1.8 miu/mL, FSH 1.9 miu/ML, TSH 1.097 miu/mL, T4,free(direct) 1.30 miu/ML, and Total test is 484 ng I believe(which is on the low side, but within normal) .So any help as to what you all think it could be or how to get it back on track. As much help with this or ideas as possible would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all. /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

dont use No2, its not safe. its a good way to induce a seizure. welcome to the site BTW. this is the best place to learn the facts about body building. i don't know much about anti estrogens, maybe a more well read person can help you on that one.

Thats a good thought... what are the dangers of NO2? all I can find is the "benefits" of the stuff...

let me get a better understanding of this, you were taking prohoromones in the past and ever since your sex drive has been non-existant?

wow that sucks ... I try to stay away from that stuff.. well that might mean that with tribulus increasing test and NO2 affecting My gonadotropins then it might very well be my HPTA that is off ... thanks for the info on tribulus. Any other thoughts ... or what to take to get it back on track?

I am not really a expert or anything but id prob go for ZMA and stick to a good diet full of plenty of EFAs also deadlift and squat(which help to raise test) and see how it goes. I am sure someone more knowledgable will come along and give some more pointers of what to do, good luck bro.

the increase in blood flow from the NO2 causes a drop in blood pressure, that drop in blood pressure is not good for the brain and leads to blackouts and seizures.
prohormones, may reduce natural testosterone production

Run a google on Clomid(HCG). It can have some undesirable side effects. Bump for seeing a doc

"Do not try to "fix" your testosterone levels by yourself"
- exactly.. if you are not a doctor, you might do more damage than good - estrogen for obvious reasons.
OK. Youve used a little prohormones, theres a current post on NO2 as well as doing a search for tribulus that will give you info in that dept.
I had a [natural] problem with testosterone production when i was younger and had to regularly see a professor of endocrinology (sp?) to sort out. So, id like to share my small bit of info with you. For the record, I have had nothing to do with roids or anything like that,
1. the lower end of the 'normal' scale probably wont be enough for many doctors to be keen to do much prescribing for you - other than healthy diet, exercise and rest etc // which you may find discouraging - but they are simply concerned re side-effects etc
2. Measuring testosterone in itself is difficult. It peaks and troughs in the body at different times of the day (is affected by sleep, stress, exercise etc), often without complete regularity. So you will need a few tests over time, after which theyll probably take an average
3. Given that your pretty sure where the problem stems from avoid getting talked into expensive MRIs for cancer of the pituitary gland, chromosome tests and so on.
4. If you do get treatment - try and push for a ONE OFF short term (3x1month injections, a 3month implant and I think there are ones that you kind of chew on and get absorbed thru the throat etc - but their credibility isnt proven).
Mydoctor did this to give me a 'kickstart' (which worked) - my natural systems resumed - but I have noticed a small amount of chest and abdominal fat ever since - if you know what i am saying? Long term treatments (though necc for some people) can hinder natural production - leaving you reliant on them - and possibly with side effects similar to that of minor steroid use.
I sincerely wish you luck and hope this info helps

Hey thanks there is a lot of good info here. If I would have known that Trib was a prohormone and NO2 was really bad .. I would have never used em. I really appreciate everyones help on this ... seems like the best thing to do is to go back to the doctor and get the recomendation for an endocrinologist. thanks guys.
