August 2003 (http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=407178)
I was about 145-150 pounds in August 2002. Bulked till 190 pounds in June 2003 and cut down to 180 now. Will be going back on a bulk as soon as my wrists heal up
Measurements (roughly): 6'0", 27 years old
Aug 2002: 145 lbs, 13.5" arms, 18" legs, 12.5" calves, 37" chest
Aug 2003: 180 lbs, 15" arms, 23" legs, 15" calves, 43" chest
I don't keep track of the actual BF% number anymore, just go by the mirror and by how well I fit or don't fit in my pants

Man, that's a great job. Very nice indeed.
Being a fellow ectomorph, I know how hard it can be to pack on the lbs. It won't be long before you are knocking on the door of the 200lb club! Go for it man!

Good job. I wish I could aggressively pack on mass without the fear of fat.

Great job, fluffy! Your chest and back look so much more filled out. The only critcism I can make is that your back got so wide that you should really focus on your arms now (Must be all that deadlifting).

thanks, Showdown and really thanks for all the help with the diet!
Skinny (btw, you're about as skinny as i'm fluffy lol), my arms suck, i totally agree. they're long and take awhile to fill out. i tried animal's biceps program and burned out halfway through the third session. i can't believe that high volume is the right way to go with them, so i'll stick with current routine and try to be patient
and there's always synthol hehe

That's where it becomes Brutal!! Man I remember that workout (#3) the first time it came around in the program, I wanted to die. /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif It wasn't as bad the following week, nor weeks 7 & 8 that followed.

This is funny since I was going to say your face has changed a lot this year. It's filled out nicely like the rest of you /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif (that sounded odd but it's meant as a compliment).
Anyway, everything is looking very nice fluffster! Great progress!
What's your next bulking goal for this year? I agree with the arms comment...and while your proiritizing them, make 'em freaky!
fluffy
08-06-2003, 06:32 PM
thanks! i'll try to get to 200 lbs (another 20) by around april and see then whether and how much to cut up
i wish i could do something about the arms, i know they're lagging badly. might give another shot to the 8-week bicep program. though i didn't like it at all the first time and had zero gains and some injury through 1/3 of it. just gotta be patient with arms i think

It's not like you actually SAW her body in PotC though right? /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif She had period clothes on...not much oh-look-at-me ho gear in that one. I think she was a model or something. She has that model look...you know...very very skinny. Probably why you didn't recognize her, all those clothes in PotC helped fill her out a bit and make her look more normal weight. And there is always photo retouching...
fluffy
08-06-2003, 11:53 PM
yeah all that victorian clothing must've bulked her up in the movie! why doesn't she, penelope cruz, and pretty much every other cute woman put on a just a tiny bit of muscle?! while keeping everything else the same of course /forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif or is the sickly skinny look part of the appeal? i don't get it
MansonOzz
08-07-2003, 12:04 AM
She was hot in PotC, but not so much in those pics. Booooo.
enderwigginout

Well, for entertainers the problem is that clothing samples on shows/photoshoots etc tend to be at a set size. Mostly size two or sometimes if their lucky size four. This means that they "need" to be able to fit into that size. The clothing manufacturers that want to advertise their clothes want the clothes to show more than the person wearing them (even if that person is super famous). Take the above pics of Keira Knightly. That's in Elle and she's in there interviewed and photographed to promote PotC. But, she is also promoting the clothes she is photographed in (check out each pic has a run down of the clothes she is wearing and how much each item costs). So, if you are a magazine and want to pull in the big fashion designers, which basically run all the ads for your magazine, you need a model/actress than will make the fashion designers happy. They are happy with someone small enough to show the clothes well (basically a living coathanger). So if you have your choices for a few actresses that are each promoting large studio movies then you want to go with the one that will sell your magazine to the consumers (attractive front page with a popular star/model) AND sell the clothes well enough to make the designers happy since you are dependent on your ads as well. This means someone beautiful as well as skinny.
If you are in charge of a movie project, you have to keep in mind publicity after the movie (as well as costuming concerns and the look of the film). They definately know about these concerns. The actresses know **** well about these trends. Thus, part of an actresses job is staying thin enough to look good on screen and in print.
[*%#*%*#] up isn't it?
It's even worse than that...when you consider how much weight the camera adds. These people in person must be utter sticks.
And all the photo retouching...geez...you wonder why women have the complexes they do.

All I can say is WOW!
I can see huge differences in the before and after pics.
The most noticeable is you are essentially creating great illusion.
For example in the front bicep pose from 2002, your hips look, while not big at all, look bulky because of a lack of shoulder width.
However this is corrected immediately when I saw the 2003 pics! Your delts are much wider, and create the illusion of a much, much smaller waist line!
It's also really noticeable from the back poses as well! Along with much more erector thickness!
Keep it up man! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif
fluffy

thanks, OS! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif and right on about illusion lol! i am nowhere as big as i look in those pics
i WOULD RIP THE QUADS. Hit legs hard.
