Ok heres my story, one year ago on my 15 birthday my mom bought me a gym membership because of my weight problems (yeah I know reaall suttle huh?). Any ways I was 185lbs and about 30% bf (taken at the gym). SO I researched on the internet and found this site, and my diet and training has been spot on since then. Today one week after I turned 16 I am 167lbs and 10.5% bodyfat, YAY! anyways I took a week off and these are my pictures on the 7th day, my goal is to have a defined 6 pack, do u think I sould bulk or cut? Sorry for the bad lighting /forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif Pictures (http://www.angelfire.com/psy/cology1/index.html)

I think you're making some nice progress! I would suggest a bulk and then a cut.

Also, congrats on the weight & bf% loss!!

I'm really impressed with your progress & even so of your young age! You also have developed a good frame and muscularity. Just keep going cause you'll be huge when you get on your twenties. Peace!

Awesome progress from the beginning! What you should do is solely dependant on you. Think of it a couple ways:

You have a younger metabolism so you can use that to your advantage to cut down to make you happy, THEN bulk.

This is a great time in your life to bulk up.

You have a lot of time ahead of you. In 6 years you will still be young. Don't worry about anyone trying to talk you out of getting cut up if that's what you want. You've got PLENTY of time to cut and then bulk. You won't miss anything. /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yeah I agree with MansonOzz and Bombflower. You should go on a clean bulk and focus on doing heavy ab workouts with lower reps. Get your ab muscles to grow. You will probably improve your abs more with a clean bulk than with a cut since your body fat is already pretty low and you have some tone there already. If I were you I would bulk through until next summer and then cut. You are looking great though. Keep training hard!

Excellent progress, thats a HUGE drop in BF%. I like the way your body looks developed all over, not just chest arms, like so many guys at the gym. I bet mom is pleased with her initial investment!

nice calves, good progress so far. I would suggest bulking first then cutting so you can be REALLY huge by the time you are 18.

This guy's pictures are what I would like to show to every whiner who is like "I can't lose weight blah blah the ab energizer blah blah I need a special blah blah...."

SHUT UP! SHUT UP! Shut up and go lift. He did. Look at him. He's well on his way to looking like a M&F dude, all ripped up and healthy with good definition.

That is the way to turn your life around, man. We are all proud of you, no joke. And yeah, starting lifting that early means you can be massive by the time you get out of college. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif Or you can just use the physique to get the honeys while you're *in* college. Either way, great job. I wish I had started lifting as a teenager.

...and I bet they're still the same size, aren't they? Tell them to go cry in their pizza.

Well, who's laughing now? In the words of the famous big Chad, "They can suck it and they can like it." Lifting weights and seeing results not only makes you healthier, it's good for self-esteem and it's evidently made your life more enjoyable. Good deal.

Why do some teenagers have to be jerky to other teenagers? is that an unwritten law? Every highschool needs an Assistant Principal for the Discipline of Jackasses whose only job is to take jerky people and pound the bejesus out of them. I bet you'd have plenty of volunteers if you created the position. /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Keep lifting. If you metabolism runs pretty fast, I'd just keep eating and lifting and working out. You don't have to obsess or anything, but I'd definitely continue to take advantage of your testosterone levels and keep adding some lean mass and adding strength. /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif Best of luck!

I dunno why teenagers have to be jerks to one another but they do so much. that was mainly just preppy people always makin fun cause i was so overweight and not muscly at all. theres all these people around me askin me how i did it now, and women that my mom works with always want me to write them out a diet plan /forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif they dont understand what it take i guess

Just tell them straight up what to do, and they'll most likely never both you again! /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

A friend of mine who "worked out" (sure..) in prior years wanted to start going to the gym with me to work out. I told him what I do and how I train, and he never mentioned it again. I think I will call the hardcore truth "Gym Idiot Repellent".

LMAO! I think this must the same mystical phenomenon that repels gymbeciles from the deadlift area. unfortunately, they still flock to the squat rack to do their....*grunt*....tiny curls.
