Hello all, I have been a memeber of this site for a little while now and this is the first time I have ever posted pics, please let me know what you think...good or bad...

I have been working out with my partner (his pics are also in there) for 9 months now, and only the past 5 months have been serious training. Please take a look at the pics below, my pics are in the folder called "CCG". The pics were taken 02-06-2003.

You can view the pics following the link, thanks for your time, please let me know what you think.

Also, before you ask to see picture of my legs they will be coming soon. I havnt been able to really train them since I started bodybuilidng due to a rugby injury.

btw I am 18 years old right now and 170 lbs at 10%BF.

Looks VERY good for a years progress. Are you taking any supplements?

ccg

The only supplements I have taken is whey protein and creatine. I only took creatine for 6weeks though, I didnt notice enough of a difference to keep taking it.

Still a lot I need to work on. First 4 months of training I was one of those "gym morons" who just trained bench press. So that explains why I am lagging badly is some areas and not others.

I can't believe you've only been training for 9 months. You are huge and ripped. Great work!

Ditto that. Wait a sec....you're only 170lbs? You look closer to 190lbs. How tall are you?

Great job so far! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Really great muscularity! No real "bad muscles". Great proportions. Just work on your posing... don't hide away when doing the double biceps poses for example. Spread yourself out.

The posing needs a lot of work, first time ive ever posed for a pic before. I'll retake a few of them when I go to do my legs.

Can you guys please critique my pictures for me?

I know my back needs a lot of work, and I will post my legs soon, they need a little catching up as well. Just let me know what muscles I should start hitting even harder...

Thanks for your time,

Your looking really well proportioned upper body, maybe your back needs some further width, but overall your looking good. What are your stats? At 5'11, and 170, your legs must be out of proportion to your upper body though. What did you look like 9 months ago? Good job nonetheless.

traps are looking real good, vascularity also is quite impressive, especially that vein in your left bi!! wholly cow

Come on guys, what do I need to work on?

Bi's and back for sure, what else???

umm, I say hit the obliques lightly, and thicken up the upper chest, no more flat it's incline from here....

you look great.

if you're only 170lbs and your upper body looks like that your legs must be toothpicks.

Body parts i think you need to hit more:
-> Upper chest
-> Triceps(specially the long head)
-> Biceps
-> Lats
-> Lower Back

But you're great man, that would be to be flawless.

i forgot to ask, how much did you gain in those 9 months, and what are all your measurements?

What were your stats 1 yr back?

ccg

I have never measured myself, I put on 37 lbs in the 9months, and went down 4% in bodyfat. Also, my legs are NOT toothpics, they are larger and strong. Pics of those should come early next week.

Coming from his training partner he does not have tooth pick legs just to clear it all up.

hmmm sorry then for the comment, in fact take it as a compliment. I mean just at 170lbs you have a really great upper body if you have legs to go with that man you're done (y). man i still can't understand how is your upper body so big at that weight having balanced legs. my only logical explanation is that your muscles are less dense and instead of being like 1.1g/cc are like 0.7g/cc.

It's a compliment ok! keep up the good work.

I think you just have rather poor judgment. I do weigh 170 lbs, and my legs are in proportion to my upper body. You really have no clue how dense my muscles are either or how dense they should be.

I would say widen your back and make it thicker then your biceps. Your front biceps isn't actually bad at all but I would like to see it peaking on back double biceps pose. That's where youre lacking.

On the other hand, your chest, traps, delts looks terrific. Keep it up buddy!

ROCKaMIC

Sorry, then i might have "rather poor judgement". That i don't deny.

But about the muscle density thing, of course it varies. What i meant to say is that is your muscles were a lot less dense (which is almost impossible) your volume
would be greater without all the weight. The density can be increased but it's in average
1.1g/cm3.

Well then you're calling a lot of people ignorant in this forum, as that was what was answered
to me in a post last year when i asked about the density of the muscles. Several people confirmed it.

Oh and i believe you, i just can't imagine a 170lb person with that upper body having symmetry in the legs.

ABC is like my 2nd home so i don't really want to disrupt here for me and all the other members so just get your legs pics taken and posted and let's end with that. PEACE.

Hey bud all I was saying is that it was poor judgement, and the fact is you do have no idea how dense my muscles are, and in the end it doesnt matter now does it. Not trying to start anything either, so sorry if I came off a bit rude.

And I never once called anyone in this forum ignorant, if I though someone was then I would tell them that /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Peace

oops sorry ccg, i didn't read correctly. i thought you had told me i didn't have any idea of how dense muscles are or how dense they should be. hehe sorry. well anyways. glad it's all cleared up now.

i'm waiting for those legs pics, btw, when you post your pics could you take measurements and post'em, thanks.

are these the befores?

Dave,

Yes, these are basically pics of what I am starting with. As of right now I do not have a diet setup or a regular split that I use. I eat kind of clean for the most part, and only workout 3-4 times a week, basically I just work what ever is not sore. Currently I am only getting 4 meals a day and not near enough protein. Over the summer I plan on cleaning up my deit and working a good hard 4-5 days a week, and hopefully pack on some mass. Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't think it really came off rude or was meant to be rude. From the upper body pics, you definitely look a lot bigger than 170, assuming your legs are equally developed. He was just wondering if it was because of muscle density. I don't see how that's rude at all.
