thanks! as i stated above- i am aware of my back's deficiencies and am working on it... also working on my legs. my biggest achievement over the winter is getting my abs to show- not the easiest thing to do.

Those are some awesome looking abs man!! Geez I wish I could get my bf% down like that!! Keep up the great work. That picture of your back is freaky too. Your shoulder muscles are just way too awesome. I like the freaky vein running down your arm too. Good job. Keep at 'er!!

The last two pics are awesome. The veins running down your delts and meeting up w/the veins in your bis make me jealous. Hopefully I end up w/those after my cut.
Abs are freaky and your bis look better than from the last pics!

thanks guys...

mikem... don't wish it- do it! cut the fat & find an occasional (once or twice a week) aerobic exercise.

mansonozz- you can take some credit for my latest progress as i've been doing negative resistance reps with dumbells- an idea i 'stole' from your journal- & getting a burn like i haven't experienced in my previous 10 years of playing with the weight machine. the biggest change has been my vascularity... veins popping everywhere during exercise.

hey- i turn the big 4-0 next week!! gotta start working on my stamina just to blow out the candles on my cake lol

Keep it up and good luck with the back and legs. Your BF% is looking great. Do you know what your BF% is? It must be under 9%....

Awesome! Glad to see you made it work. I've got tons of tricks up my sleeve and always pull something out when I need a changeup. I got everything I know from searching around ABC for countless hours reading ALL the articles. Tons of stuff that I've probably forgotten half of it - and STILL have a ton of info!

Happy b-day buddy!

**** bro, yous a scary lookin sombich /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

overall you look great! nice and ripped. im guessing your legs might suck as bad as mine so thats why you didnt post them. /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

upper body - biceps are good, chest is good, delts are good, lats need width, traps need work. overall you just need some more thickness in your lats, traps, rear delts areas.

good job

according to this (http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html) method it's 13%- 10% if i enter waist size as 31 instead of 32; i took another test (can't find the url) which involves measuring waist, wrist, ankle, middle of chest, height, weight and i got 8½%... go figure. i have yet to try calipers or immersion but my guess would be somewhere close to 10%.

Hmmm, ya maybe around 10%, 13% would seem a little high. Oh, and happy birthday! /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i figured 13 was a bit high but take into account that the formula calculates a whole body percentage on the basis of 3 numbers input.

thanks for the b-day wishes- at 40 i'm in way better shape than when i was 20.

Looking good bro. Although you already said you know your back is poor, to me your lats look high. Some good exercises for people with this trait are pull downs to the front with hands in a reverse grip at about shoulder width or slightly narrower, also chinups/pulldowns make sure your hands aren't too wide and emphasise the whole lift not just the bootm portion. Good luck /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

i hope a few see me & clue into the FACT that they can do this themselves! we don't need to be in such a vast minority... 99% of the population surrendering to bad diet and inactive lifestyle rationalizing it as age will just drive up health care costs for the rest of us.

thanks... no tattoos for me. no guarantees that i wouldn't regret it later on. what's this fixation with my hair? it's mine & i'll wear it any way i like (dammit!)... you like short buzz cuts? then by all means wear your hair that way! don't you realize that all this insistence that i cut it will only inspire me to grow it longer??? /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

AWESOME! I'd suggest clean bulking to up the mass. As previously stated, chest, abs, and shoulders are looking good. Prioritize the back and tris. Post some legs pics, too.

Looking pretty awesome man, I have to agree with GP, your pretty scary lookin! I mean that in a good way, especially being that you are mild mannered. As far as critiques, nothing nobody is already saying, I would suggest going a little heavier than your accustomed to on your rows, especially bent over DB rows, worked wonders for my back. Other than that keep it up and happy belated b-day!

thanks for the b-day wishes... older sister tried to rub in the fact that i turned 40 but she's always going to be a year ahead of me! /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

just working on my form now with back exercises... i'll worry about increasing weight after i nail technique... i do appreciate your suggestions though. i'm experimenting with different rep techniques... slow negatives one day... 1+½ reps next day, etc. heavier weight will come... just got a pair of 45# hex dumbells so my collection continues to grow and so shall i! /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif
