Since I posted my last pictures, I have dropped about 5 pounds, most of which I think has been fat. I have been sticking to a pretty strict cut and just going based on appearance I think I have finally gotten my body fat down to single digits (9 percent?). I also completed my 12 weeks of the body for life contest and need to pick a front shot and a back shot to enter for the contest. I don't think I have a chance at winning any of the prizes because I didn't get professional photos, but I might as well try to send in the best pics I can. I am thinking of entering the first picture on the page, but I am looking to the side in that picture so I don't know if that is bad or not. I am probably going to sumbit the second back shot. Any advice on which pictures to enter would be great. I also put a few extra shots just so that I can get feedback on my overall progress and suggestions on what to work on. I know some people are going to tell me to bulk, but this is the closest I have ever come to having a real sixpack so I want to keep cutting for a few more weeks in order to see how low I can get my bf% before I start on a clean bulk. Thanks.

It looks like you've got an awesome base going brother! How much longer will you be cutting? With more time your abs will pop out. If I had to critique I would say you need to prioritize your back and deltoids.

Keep up the great work! /forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Thanks a lot, guys. Seksi, I plan to cut for as long as it takes until I am happy with my abs. Hopefully, it won't take more than another month. I want mine to look as good as yours! I have been making my shoulders a high priority now for a while, but I was one of those "gym morons" who only did chest and arms for a few years before I really got serious, so everything else has a lot of catching up to do.

Hey, don't sweat it, bodybuilding is a continous learning experience; a lifestyle.

I do not think that you are at 9 % BF more like 11 or 11. But anyhow i would suggest for you to work your rear delts and lats. Everything else looks very well.

Yeah I guess I may have been a little optimistic in my estimate. I am going to get a caliper soon so that I can know for sure.

Nice chest development, once the abs are visible, you'll be beach ready. I agee with everyone about the delts, and I would say your traps and and lats as well. Your traps, and delts will respond best to serious weight increases. Keep up the hard work, your look pretty diesel right now. Nice ink by the way.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Cutting really sucks. I can't wait to start bulking again! I think I am going to cut for 3-4 more weeks, if I still can't see my lower abs by then I am going to be pissed. My calipers should come in the mail this week so I will be able to tell my bf% for sure and it will be easier to monitor my progress week to week.

I added a new folder showing my progress throughout my cut. The most recent pics were taken yesterday. My plan is to raise my calories back up to maintainance starting Monday and then to begin a slow clean bulk at the end of next week. I don't quite have a sixpack yet, but I think it's good enough for now. Hopefully I can continue to slowly drop my bf% during my bulk.

Doing great so far and I'm seeing some good progress -- can clearly tell you got those 6 abs. /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Good thinking on resuming a bulk. There are more important things then six-packs which some people, including myself, tend to forget. You'll look much better with more back and shoulder mass. Keep training hard and good luck with your courses.

Thanks, Rugger. I have definatley been ab-sessed lately (I know that pun was pretty bad but I couldn't resist). Class is pretty easy so far thanks to all the knowledge I acquired from ABC, but I am still learning quite a bit.

If you're gonna see your abs it might as well be in the summer, I cut jan>may last year for that reason... even though I was only 178>180, cut to 170. Also are you doing a decent ab work out? I mix up hanging leg lifts, weighted "v" ups/crunches, declined crunches, parallel bar leg lifts etc...

Thanks for the kind words Heen. I tried to get the light similar in all the pics, but its impossible to get it identical.

Jocked, I'm not sure if your comment is a compliment or a criticism, but if you want to see my routine then read my journal.

Edit: I just put a new pic in the cutting folder that was taken two days ago, after a week of gradually going back to eating at maintainance.
