So, I saw some pics from the Arnold Classic at:

I really like Monica Brant's figure. The rest (even the first place finisher) just seem too big for my 'ideal'. What do you think her type of training program is? And her body fat?

Sozzy, just excited that I found a pic of a physique I'd like to have and wondering what I'd have to do (and how long I'd have to train) to get close to that.

You know, I checked out her web site and she says she does high reps low weight or stair climbing/running in sand for her legs. Eh? Or she uses no weight at all with squats and such (to maintain the muscle she had when she did lift?). Apparently she does a ****load of cardio too.

Eh, eh?

Oh by the way, her contest weight is 127, normal weight is 134.

Just a bit more confused. Info is appreciated.

You know, Monica Brant has always been my favorite and represents a body type that I would really like to develop, since I am similarly built (well, maybe I'm a BIT more of an endo than she is /forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif). But you have to remember that she has been training for a very long time and is now at the point where she just tweaks her physique a little depending on what look she's after at the moment. I believe that she is one of those people who puts size on her legs quite easily so the low weight/high rep plan is just for maintenance- she didn't get that way by following that plan. She's also meticulous about her diet. I remember one interview a few years ago where the reporter spent like 24 hrs. with her getting ready for a contest and she weighed every bit of food that went into her mouth right up to and including the broccoli!!

If you look at pictures of her over the past 10 years you can see how she has really matured in terms of her figure. So, try to keep all this in mind when you compare your figure with hers. It's a combination of hard work, discipline, and PATIENCE that will get you there.

that is exaclty what i was going to say!! /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

you must remember it did take her a long time to get to where she is and her workout plan now is different than when she was trying to improve her body, not maintain it!
