Well I am getting ready for the Contest. I have More protein, HMB, Multivits, Creatine, and a freezer chocked full of good food. Well guys Good Luck in your challenge. I am going to get as big as possible in 12 weeks but I am carrying the Bulk into April and then cutting. I want to be around 170 lbs LBM at 12-15%.

The measurements are just in here they are (in mm of course)
chest 29 24 25
abdomin 19 20 18
thigh 15 16 16
tri 9 9 10
bi 5 4 3
subscap 17 18 17
suprailiac 13 15 16
axilla 9 8 11
calf 15 10 12
lower back 18 17 18
My body weight is 180 lbs in the morning.
As you can see I carry a lot of excess fat on my back and chest. using the tall numbers, my bf% works out to 23% and the lower numbers give me 20% which is about where I expected I was. So now hopefully I'll lower those bf% numbers a few points and bump my LBM up a lot. My current LBM is 146 lbs. I hope to put on 20 lbs of LBM before I start my cut. That will be cool. At the end of the contest I'll be happy with a 10 lb gain. Who knows maybe I'll put that 20 on. If I do, I'll reward myself with ummm more food. Good luck all

Gord,
I think you must have measured your chest wrong, because that is a huge number...did you measure it in the right place? I have never seen anyone with an iliac crest site smaller than a chest site.
Good luck on your "bulk"...we'll see who looks the best after we're done. I expect pictures.

Gord, I agree with Dave that chest measurement is huge especially when your ab measurement is only 20 - I'm thinking that should be you largest measurement. Are you gonna post pics by the way? I think I'll take some this weekend and post em.

Dave,
I am in Thunder Bay today, so I will get to the calipers tomorrow. I will repost what I remeasured. I was shown by the guy at fitness advantage what I did wrong. Hopefully I'll do it right.

Well week 1 was blown because of a company trip to Thunder Bay. I did learn that my measurements were done wrong. I had time to see my friend Chris at his store and we went over measuring techniques and I found out what I did wrong. It's a common rookine error. I was measuring right next to my "pinch" almost on my fingers. I moved it out a bit and then I showed my wife yesterday, the how to because she measures my hard to reach places. So here as of sunday morning are my am measurements
chest 14 16 14
abs 30 33 32
thigh 22 21 19
sub scap 19 19 19
tri 7 10 9
mid ax 13 12 13
sup 9 5 10
bi 3 5 5
calf 7 8 6
bodyweight this am was 181 so here is the numbers I get. for min 17% for max i get 20% bf. my weight is up a little and my bf is hopefully going down some. I am doing max ot style workouts and eating lots (3672 cals weekly average per day) of food. I save my protein supps for wake up and post workout. I'll start the creatine one hour before workouts.

Looks much better Gord. We're at the same weight right now...let's see how much we can change our body composition!

I lost 2 pounds this week but my arms are at 14 7/8" relaxed no pump. All around measurements are up except my gut which is slightly down. I have to take a small break due to pulled intercostals from a slip and fall. So I will be back to training hopefully this weekend.

Yu,
Intercostals haven't healed at all. It really sucks. I am contemplating dropping out of the contest because I've lost so much ground. I can't lift heavy because of the pulled muscles, I do not know when I can resume lifting. I can't even do cardio because of pain. If I don't heal soon, I'll have no choice.

Scott,
Thanks for the prayers, I'm going to try to hang in. I can't lift very well due to the breathing issues from the ribs. I am following the doctors orders and taking the viox every six hours. I am seeing some results but very s l o w l y. Hopefully I'll be able to hit the gym by Saturday. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks again for the prayers.
