The Low Carb Diet gets my vote! I lost 25lbs in less then 2 months, but the holidays are kicking my ***. Does anyone know and good snacks or bars that can help me curb my sweet tooth in the face of cookies and chocolate? I'm getting a little tired of my Atkins stuff.

MY WIFE MAKES A GREAT DESSERT WIYH SUGAR FREE JELLO, WHIPPING CREAM, AND CREAM CHEESE; BUT IM NOT SURE HOW SHE DOES IT/ THERE IS ALSO A RECEIPE FOR CHEESE CAKE MADE WITHOUT SUGAR BUT BESIDES THAT,I DONT KNOW OF MUCH ELSE.YOU MAY JUST HAVE TO BITE THE BULLIT AND DO THE BEST YOU CAN, JUST EAT SOMETHING YOU LIKE TO REWARD YOURSRLF BUT DO IT WITH YOUR MEAL SO YOU ONLY HAVE ONE INSULIN SPIKE, STAY AWAY FROM THINGS WITH REFINED SUGAR AND CORN SYRUP. TRY MAKING A PUMPKIN OR SWEET POTATOE PIE WITH SPLENDA AS THE SWEETNER, USE EGGS, CREAMCHEESE, AND CREAM AND AN ENVELOPE OF UNFALVORED/UNSWEETENED GELATIN...I HAVEN'T TRIED IT BUT I THINK IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WILL WORK. FOR A CRUST, USE YOUR FOOD PROCESSOR AND BLEND ENOUGH PECANS, REAL BUTTER, AND A COUPLE TABLESPOONS SOY FLOUR TO MAKE A KIND OF PASTE; PRESS THIS INTO PIE PAN AND BAKE JUST LIGHTLY TO MAKE IT KIND OF SET: POUR IN YOUR EGG, PUMKIN, ETC. MIXTURE AND THEN BAKE TILL FIRM, HEY IM SOUNDING LIKE MARTHA STEWART INSTEAD OF A WEIGHT LIFTER. MY WIFE AND I LOST BIG TIME WEIGHT ON THE ATKINS DIET...DONT FORGET TO TAKE VITAMINS WHILE ON THE DIET...I HOPE YOU HAVE READ ATKINS BOOK; A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK THEY KNOW ALL ABOUT IT BUT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT A CARB IS OR WHAT FOODS CONSTITUTE SUCH. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE GOT THE HANG OF IT THOUGH IF YOUVE LOST THAT MUCH WEIGHT. I LOST 150 LBS AND HAVE KEPT IT OFF, ITS BEEN 4 YRS, BUT I STILL HAVE TO WATCH WHAT I EAT AND YOULL NEVER STOP WANTING TO EAT THAT SUGAR LOADED STUFF, ITLL ALWAYS BE A FIGHT BUT ITS WORTH IT; LIFTING WEIGHTS HAS ALSO HELPED GREATLY...INCREASE OF MUSCLE MASS BURNS FAT. WELL HOPE IVE BEEN A HELP...KEEP UP THE FIGHT AND HAVE A BLESSED CHRISTMAS.

Hey Slimsista!

I don't know if you've ever heard of Doctor's CarbRite Diet bars but they are AWESOME! If you've got a sweet tooth but you're trying to cut the sugar/carbs it's an excellent alternative! They come in 8 great flavs.....S'mores and the new one...I think it's called Frosted Cinnamon are the best. They even have sugar free solid chocolate bars that actually don't taste sugar free! I've done some excellent things with the solid bars. I would suggest that you melt a few in the microwave and dip either cherries or strawberries in it. Refridgerate for a few hours and you've got an excellent dessert. I brought them in to my office holiday gathering and they were a fantastic success. If anyone else has heard of these bars and has any recipe hints, I would love to hear them.

Probably needs to be in the recipe section but a good snack cookie ... it will curve your sweet tooth.

1 cup natural Peanut Butter
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar alternative

Mix and roll into balls, put on a cookie sheet, press down the middle with a fork and bake on 350 until done.
