Should I be getting in each body part once or twice a week?
I was thinking about waiting 5 days between each body part workout. Does that seem ok? For some reason I feel that 7 days is too long inbetween.
Thanks.

Yeah 5-7 days is the general time.
You have to remember too that a lot of muscles get worked in compound movements. Like for example the delts get used heavily in any chest press, along with rows for your back, or dips for your tris.
So its better not to train any less than 5. I wait 7 days but I use higher volume. It depends on the way your train really.
But to answer your question, 5 days is fine.
For example you could do this split:
Mon- Chest, delts, tris
Wed- Back , bis, forearms
Fri- Legs, calves, abs
Sun- start cycle over

I know I wait the 5-7 days in between body parts. Mondays are chest, tri, shoulders, Wednesday is back and biceps, and friday is legs, calves and i do abs 5 days a week and i take weekends off. It helps me and I train each body part to fatigue so it needs the recooperation time in between. Everyone is different though so you just kinda have to play and see what works best for you.

When building on muscles (bulking) I would advice to work each body part only once a week (otherwise the muscle wont have enough time to recover).
If you just want to stay as you are (or you just want to tone and you are not in a hurry!) then you can work more in circuit training and work the entire body twice or even three times a week (lifting less heavy and more reps).
Your choice. What are your goals?!!
