i have been checking out this website for a while now, and decided to make the committment to get in shape. i am going to do the 12 week fat burning diet/workout. my starting weight is 200lbs. i am 6ft tall. my current workout program includes alot of running and boxing conditioning. i should be in better shape but my diet is horrendous. so, my biggest obstacle will be the diet. also, not doing so much cardio. so, i'm off to the races. i will be starting on 8/12/02.

Hi Special K
I'm only a beginner myself but with this site you site can't fail.
My advice for you is to read up on the nutrition boards, and read the articles under the nutrition tab (but i bet you done that one already), and if you need any help or advice just ask in the forums and you're sure to get the answers!
Good Luck + Welcome to the boards

we'll all help with the motivation part too! /forum/images/icons/grin.gif
somethings that can help (at least that did for me when i was starting) is to get a account at fitday.com (http://www.fitday.com) and make a personal online journal (click on forums tab /forum/images/icons/laugh.gif, wait you said you've been here before, doh!)

hey joe, thanks for advice. i've been looking around the website, and i'm trying the 12 week program. i'm going to use the sample diet and adjust the calories. do you think that will be ok? also, i'm going to train in the mornings, should i eat my first meal before or after i train? thanks again.
